Tribute to MJ

I guess there are countless blog posts writing about MJ's demise. Here is another one.

Well, like many, I grew up listening to his many songs, which of course are usually hit singles in the charts. It's impossible to avoid his music, given radio was the main entertainment in 80s and much in 90s. 'Bad' and 'Heal the World' are some of my favorites.

Like the rest of the world, I was in a state of utter shock and devastated to hear the news of the untimely death of MJ.

May his soul rest in peace. I sincerely hope he has finally found some form of peace and happiness in his life he was never able to find in this world. My heart goes out to his kids and other members of his family, and all his fans.

Take a timeout

We are just too busy nowadays. 24 hours seem too short. Too many things are squeezing us and wanting to take our times. The latest gadgets, the latest social websites...this make us have less time for reflection. I thin it is very important to take a time-out every now and then to allow for our spirits to catch up with our hurried bodies.

Do you think this kind of lifestyle is good? No it is not absolutely. Prolonged stressful life may take its toll one day when you are older. This lifestyle is not good for our health!

Take a genuine timeout regularly, just do nothing for a while! Take your time to enjoy the little things in life. Spend some times outdoors just for the fun of it! Go for a walk, play with your kids, call a friend you have not seen for a long time.

Million dollar desire

Close your eyes and ponder on this for just a moment: imagine always having an abundance of wealth and prosperity for ever and ever. You can’t get away from it! It just flows into your life with ease, always.

Do not always think negatively. The instant you think negatively about your million dollar desire (even subconsciously!) is the instant it unravels and moves farther away from you. See, the desire to have a million dollars is cool and all, but you must also change the way you think about having that million dollars in your bank account and what negative thoughts come up when you think about living in your dream mansion or retiring to the beaches of the world.

You really have to consciously watch your thoughts and nail the negative ones the moment they bubble up. The second you consciously turn an “I can’t” into an “I can,” you’ve added positivity and the negativity cannot exist.

It's the simple but powerful first step to begin to change your life!

True Success

Success comes in many forms and each person has a different way of how they have made their mark in life, in their careers and in the things that they treasure most to them.

How they want to display it to the world and what feelings these measures of success give them. Look into your soul and you will know when you have hit the mark you may or may not have set yourself to achieve.

Most people measure success in terms of the material, in how much money they have in the bank, how big these houses or cars are, or how many club memberships they have acquired. These are how society measures a person's success.

But, is that a good yardstick to measure success?

Personally, I think that's not a truly correct way to measure real success. A person can get rich by unexpectedly winning millions. That is definitely not a success. A person can gain an inheritance from a distant relative, that is not a success too. I may someday win a big car in a lucky draw, that could be a success of luck but not a success of life.

Maria Duval adds that true success is the measure of ambition and once you have reached it, the spirit relaxes and the mind slips into an almost meditative state of bliss. This is something that can be seen in the eyes of those who truly succeed, from their measured dialogue, their contented smile, the easy way that they choose to sit and how they treat others around them.

No Try or But

If someone you care about is in danger, do you try to help them, or do you just get on and do it?

What I am saying is that avoid using “try” word as much as you can. It gives out a very mixed signal, not knowing whether is it positive or negative. In fact, if I had it my way, I would make the use of the word “try” illegal. Ban it from your vocabulary.

When it comes to taking control of life, successful people do not try. They make taking control a must. Think of a time when something in your life became a must. You just had to do it. There were no ifs, buts, or maybes.

Maria Duval says, when you absolutely have to do something, you just do it. "Try" never comes into the equation.

Either you do or you don’t. It’s that simple.

"Just Do It." Nike says.

Maintaining level of Consciousness in working hours

Consciousness is a big thing ever to come into any sane person's life. Through consciousness, one knows better what's the life purpose and the meaning of existence. Like anyone of you who have benefited from Maria Duval's spiritual guidance, I'm also undergoing a radical change in my level of consciousness. Somehow, I'm now able to bring a peaceful presence into my life in ways I never thought possible. No longer do I appear unsure when I deal with relationships and my relationships with my family and friends has taken on vast new dimensions, and life is sweet. Thanks Maria.

There is a big But though.

My job requires me to be on long hours on the road and if I am not with suppliers or vendors, i'll be on the road behind the wheel. I've been having a heck of a time remaining conscious while working. Note that I love my job(truck driver), yet I keep finding myself bound up with anxious energy; jaw set tight, body closed as it is pressurized trying to keep to the daily delivery schedules.

I do take in between breaks to be alone to raise my level of "being" but I don't want to appear as a weirdo to some people. Sometimes I think about what to write today while waiting for the queue and I record down my thoughts in point form before composing it at night when I am clear.

This way at least i keep myself clearer.

What about you?

Maria Duval on mindful meditations

With the hectic pace of life in the modern world, it is no wonder why more and more people are dealing with issues of anger, rage, stress, depression and anxiety, as well as many other negative reactions and destructive emotions.

Through mindful meditation, you can more or less put yourself at ease with the pacy world out there and attain some spiritual quietness within yourself.

Mindfulness meditations help you to be more aware, or mindful, of the many aspects of your life and of everything you are doing. So many times it is easy to get into a rough patch in your life and this could set yourself down.

Maria Duval states that taking time on a daily basis for mindful meditation practice is the way to become aware of the patterns that a person has fallen into. Once this awareness is brought about, the person who is meditating can then start to see their life from a different perspective. In general, meditation techniques help people to gain a more balanced, realistic and grounded view of their behaviors, attitudes and actions.

As you become more aware of all the different aspects of your life, your unique situation, and the environment you are surrounded by through mindfulness mediations, this in turn helps your body to relax, which also helps the nervous system to relax. As a result, stress can be greatly reduced simply by becoming aware through the meditation process.

Mindfulness meditations can also be effective in helping a person begin to regain the control in their life that they have given up earlier. One of the most stressful things people experience is the belief that they have no control of their own existence. This can be changed.

Our courage is the guardian of the soul

It is good to take control of your thoughts. It may not be easy at first. Through practise you will be able to.

You do not have to entertain every thought that comes into your head. If a bad thought comes into your head replace it with a good thought. It may be a little difficult at first, but with practice you will see that you can control your thoughts.

For example, lets say you miss a bus, instead of cursing why you are always so unlucky, you can make use of the waiting time to run a short errand nearby the bus stop.

It would also be beneficial if you can stop hanging around negative people. Believe it or not our brains are sending and receiving centers. We send out thought waves and we pick up thought waves. That is why you want to hang around and emulate positive and successful people.

When you first embark upon any endeavor it may seem a little scary to you and you may start to think fearful thoughts, but don’t let that stop you. Maria Duval said, “Our courage is the guardian of the soul and courage overcomes fears.” You overcome your fears by action. When you take action you will see that with each step your confidence will grow and grow. You will find that your fears have become a thing of the past.

Where you are in life right now and where you will end up in life will be from the thoughts you hold in your mind and the decisions you make from those thoughts.

Stop worrying

Yes, Maria Duval says you can stop worrying. It's in your own control.

In conscious mind, that is where all our problems and worries stay. All problems exist in the past or future. No problem can exist in the present moment. If you can learn to live most of your time in the present moment, eventually you will have no problem to worry about.

I agree this is easy to say, but hard to be done. We are all conditioned to live in the past or future for through the generations. Traditionally, we are never taught how to live our lives in the present moment.

Even though your conscious mind does not know details about future outcomes, your unconscious mind knows about each and every outcome in the future. This is why; you never fail when you follow your intuition or inner guidance.

Intuition comes from your unconscious part or higher self, which knows each and every detail about your life.

So, Maria Duval says if you want to stop worry altogether, you have to listen more and more to your higher self or unconscious part of you.

Stop your conscious mind from disturbing you in each and every future outcome.

Make it right

Do you write down your goals?

I have read a lot about written goals, particularly a little 1926 book by RH Jarrett called "It Works" and Henriette Klauser's book, "Write It Down, Make It Happen".

It's almost as if just by writing down your intentions - it gives them power to manifest.

It is said that in 1966 coach Lou Holtz was out of work, broke, and expecting his 3rd child. He was so depressed, his wife gave him a copy of "The Magic of Thinking Big". Holtz sat down and wrote a list of 107 goals he wanted to accomplish before he died. Have dinner at the White House, appear on the Tonight Show, become head coach of Notre Dame, win a national title. become coach of the year, etc etc.

Out of his 107 goals, he has accomplished 102 of them.

Do you have similar experiences or stories you'd like to share? I find this very interesting.

It couldn't be done

It couldn't be done

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.

So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.

With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you, one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.

But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

Weird Dream

I had a strange dream.

In this dream a few of us Americans were in an unknown country. We were held hostage and were in dangerous situation. Suddenly a gun fight broke up and we killed a couple of guys. It was awful mire we were in.

Next a few stashes of Euros where thrown up from the suitcase of a dying. We decided to take the money that was there - I took a small portion, but it was still several thousand dollars. And we started to make our way out when the cops came. But we fled....

When I started coming awake, I was like "Oh, that's not real life, good", but I didn't feel that relieved, unlike sometimes when I wake up from a really bad dream. I actually didn't want to wake up, I wanted to go back into the dream to keep experiencing it, which is kind of weird since you'd think I would not want be in that kind of situation.

Any idea what this dream means?

Heal ourselves

We can all do a part to heal this world to be a better place. Maria Duval tells me to do that, we need to heal ourselves first. How true I find.

One good example is to give up our aggressive trait (impossible?) that brings untold miseries in people's life and to start realizing that some people are just sick, sad souls, not knowing the process of life. Be at peace. Each one has a mission to love enough to save the Earth from destruction.

I feel that could just be my pipe dream. No one is similar. You may be compassionate but your neighbor could be belligerent.

Are you destroying yourself with a long held anger, a desire for revenge, or a hurt buried deep in your soul?

Are you punishing yourself for your own actions, or for belief systems placed on you from someone else that have translated into an unloving attitude toward self?

Yes, be forgiving. Forgive yourself. Feel the anger, feel the pain, and then LET IT GO! If you do not know how to forgive, hand this over to the Great Spirit and ask to be filled with divine forgiveness. It eventually comes.

The time is now. The hour is upon us. Have compassion. This will be a better place for you and your future generations.

Taking spiritual responsibility

For a few years now, ever since i start my sessions with Maria Duval, I'm can be rightly said to be on the path of taking responsibility for my own life, finding the essence of my desires, and finding a way to bring everything I want into my life.

In the end I discovered that I'm a rather spiritual person..this is a new side of me i recently just found out, no longer that brash guy who drives a truck. Friends I hang out with somehow feels i am different and gradually they don't look for me for a drink on weekend nights anymore. Maybe i am no longer fitting into their way of life? Wife finds me gentler and listening too. I can only sit down and listen to her pouring her thoughts to me. Last time, I'd just watch football matches on TV and never bother her.

I also find that I like reading books like Eckhart Tolle, Abraham Hicks and more things like that. They are not easy to understand, yet i do my best to dicipher the meaning.

Because of those things, and the growth that they brought me, I developed a feeling inside of me, a wonderful, exciting feeling. It comes and goes, mostly when I look at beautiful nature or when I see animals, when I hear a good song or when I feel the sun and smell the fresh air it comes to me. I get this feeling when I think of what I want to do later, and my dreams

Whenever i feel deep inside of me is not connected to where I am this moment, i would read these books and meditate. A walk in the forested trail helps a lot too..and things will just get back to one piece at the end of the way.
