Maria Duval - In God’s Image - Developing Self-Esteem

In God’s Image - Developing Self-Esteem
Powerful forces at work The concept of building a powerful self-image is a dynamic force and is vital in your quest for personal development and releasing for complete freedom. You must first gain an insight into who you are before you can identify what you are. Then you can take the next step into developing the person you aspire to be. Remember always, even though people are not capable of total self-evaluation, you must be honest and embrace the real you, don't try to be someone else. As you delve deeper into your soul (inner person) you will evolve into your true self. Your whole outlook will become more positive and central. You will come to a realization that you are indeed created in God's own image and as such have the potential for greatness. Greatness is begotten from the father and born of the child. If this were not so He would have told us differently. Soon you, in God’s image as a regenerated person, will come forward and the old suppressed person will simply melt away into a harmless memory of the past. In humans, transformation of mind comes with a deeper understanding of self and a closer relationship with God. . Can create sickness Many people, as perhaps you are, inflicted with a degenerative disease that permeates your total being. Since birth countless influences and pressures of your environment have controlled your true self. Your have become a product of your upbringing. In order to escape, you must gain the cooperation of those around you for support. Let them know you how important it is for you to change and you will no longer be the person you once were. Stand on your own two feet Your sincerity and determination will see you through. God wants you to stand on your own two feet and be an example of certainty on His behalf. You have to "kick the habit" so to speak. Life is indeed an implementation of habits. It’s easy to fall into the jaws of compliancy and spiral into mediocrity. You find yourself fighting for life as you drown in a pool of hopelessness. Life as it was meant to be, will escape you because you never heard her call for transformation. You must be reborn, with a new set of values and new outlook on life. Do not compromise Most people fail because this is a developmental process that takes a lot of effort. As you begin to experience success; the more successes you have the higher the perception of yourself will become and the more you will crave the enriching feeling of self-completion. In time your horizons will expand like never before. You will see things in a new and exciting light. Obstructions that have hampered your life will melt and disappear in time. Soon your success drive will be a natural function that will operate at optimum efficiency. Failure is not part of the human spirit; it is a false concept that keeps people in bondage to the captivating merchants of the material world. If a person believes he/she can't be successful, then he/she will rely on worldly things to comfort or suppress the success drive. "Advance, and never halt, for advancing is experiencing success. Advance I say, do not fear resistance for it is only thorns in the path and the blood they draw is minuscule and corrupt." Stay focused on God Stay focused on God and build your self-image around that viewpoint. You’re your new self-image illuminate God? What is self-image? It is simply the capacity to merge into Jesus’ mannerisms and convert them to yourself, with the realization of knowing you are in control of your destiny. While God gives you destiny, He allows you control over it. Your ability to achieve and develop is a control process that you must master. The gift may come from God, but the implementation is ultimately up to you. God supplies the tools and knowledge but He won't do it for you. In fact, no one will do it for you, nor will they care if you fail. The fact is, it's not who you are that holds you back it's who you think you're not. And Success will be yours You are not only created in God’s own image, you are created in his likeness; this is an extremely powerful physical force that has the ability to overcome all obstacles in conceiving plans that become realities of expression. Every possible element within God’s creation is available for your use in your quest for success. Success is God directed and expected of His Children. All the ingredients, physical and mental are supplied for your use. It's up to you to sort out what to use and what not to use. Neither God nor any one else will do it for you. When you go to a library or log onto the Internet, all the information is there but you must sort through it and put it into use. It's like baking a cake. First, you must have the desire to bake a cake. Second, you must have a game plan, or recipe. Third, you must follow directions, and fourth, complete the process. The best-laid plans are of no account without these ingredients for action. As a child of God, you are constantly setting an example for others, in one form or another. You are continually moving going toward something, either success or failure. In everyday life all people experience successions of failure and successes. They are called, ups and downs, or valleys and plateaus. In one thing you may excel while in another you may struggle. This is because in the material world, external forces are exerted on you from all directions. In the spirit realm, everything leans toward success, while the material world leans toward failure. Overcoming the resistance of the material world is a matter of realizing where the resistance is coming from and neutralizing it. Welcome to a sensational world Everything on earth, action or visualization, influences or exerts force on something else. You must find out what is influencing you in making clear choices. Is it a person, old failures, or skepticism? Never forget who you are; a creation of God made in His image and His likeness. Armed with this knowledge, nothing can stand in your way. You have the power to overcome, achieve, if you can conceive it, and believe it, then you can achieve it. Do not allow someone or something hold you back from your aspirations. Old failures are dead; don't carry around that which is dead. They are rotting, smelling, revolting, in your mind’s eye. You must awaken to follow your dreams, it's what God wants and expects of you. Use God's abundance, tools and knowledge, it's unlimited and free for His Children. If you're a person of God, you will understand if you are not it doesn’t matter, the same rules apply. Happy Trails

THE POWER OF INTEGRATIVE THINKING
Good health, substantial wealth, and every harmonious personal or business relationship, deals with the aspect of integrative thinking. What does that mean? Let's take a closer look. For an example, at one time or another, we all have felt one thing but acted in another way which was inconsistent with how we felt. For example, you may have thoughts about what you need to do, and all you experience are just the thoughts without any connection of those thoughts to the feelings you are experiencing while entertaining those thoughts. We tend to miss all the valuable information being conveyed to us by what the feeling is telling us. Without "integrating" the thoughts and the feelings, usually, perhaps as much as 95% of the time, we are susceptible to taking an action that ends up being a mistake. The power of Integrative Thinking says this: Go into that place and you integrate the aspects of your thoughts, what you are feeling " in some circles we call that "heart-mind." This is the domain where you connect the heart with the mind. It is so valuable to integrate the heart and the mind so that they work as a team and are not separate from and unknown to each other. How can you incorporate this method of Integrative Thinking in your life? For example, take a look at a project are you working on, or a relationship you are engaged in, and evaluate the effectiveness of the project or relationship. Suppose you are responsible for getting out a mailing at work. You typically begin with what we call the "nitty-gritty" of what is necessary to accomplish the task. You might define the task by writing it down, researching it, and making a task list, step by step. Then you can create a plan for getting it done. For example, with the mailing project, this might include things like contacting companies that sell mailing lists or companies that mail your information out for you. The goal is to create a plan that integrates every aspect of the project, taking into consideration that you may not be the best person to carry out every aspect of the project, but you will plan it, oversee it and make sure it gets done. As another example, if you want to create a harmonious business organization, or if you want to develop a harmonious relationship with a person, either in a work context or in a personal relationship, it is important to look at the qualities of each person integrating all aspects of the person. There are four basic qualities, patterns or elements that we ought to consider: 1. Emotional Balance. Here we observe and assess the emotional aspect of where that person is really at. We ask ourselves, "Does this person tend to be emotionally stable or do they have a tendency to be emotionally unstable?" 2. Mental Balance. We observe and assess the person to be mentally stable or unstable. 3. Physical Balance. Is the person physically stable or physically unstable? 4. Spiritual Balance. Is the person spiritually stable or spiritually unstable? Now when we come to spirituality, most people get confused and they say, "Well, doesn't that have to do with religion?" Well, not necessarily so. The term "spirituality" has to do with the inner-workings of things, the "behind the scenes" energy and activity within a person If we're talking about the term "religion", we're talking about methods set up, perhaps eons ago, in an effort to help a person to create a closer to relationship between themselves and what we call God. It is key to look at the soul aspect of how we create things in our lives, and this involves a "Focus Point". What does it mean to have a "Focus Point"? What is the nature of a "Focus Point"? As you start practicing the Power of Integrative Thinking, eventually you will be led to taking some sort of a physical action. Most people have a tendency to wait on things to happen or to wait for some kind of sign before taking a physical action. In truth, the action is already happening " you are physically "thinking" about it, aren't you? You have to be with the evolution of the though in partnership with your feelings and emotions as the physical action unfolds and identifies itself to you. Most of us have had the feeling of being overwhelmed, especially if we are running or operating any kind of business. We feel we are doing too much, working too many hours, spending too much time on work-related activities. Based on what some psychologist have said, the truth of the matter is that feeling overwhelmed is really not about "overwhelm", but rather being caught up in the "anxiety of failure." It's the anxiety of failing that is really the key, not the notion of overwhelm. Consequently, we spend a great deal of time trying to "keep it together" because we fear failing or have a fear of loss. I suggest that we can change our perspective when dealing with Overwhelm. We do this by formulating a pattern for our actions. For example, formulate a "mini-day" for a 3-day time period. Choose a day of the week and designate how your time will be spent throughout the day. You could design a "mini-day" as follows: I'll spend making calls for 2 hours, I'll work on work search for 1 hour, and the next hour I'll devote to study time. In other words, you put those things that need to be done within a designated timeframe. What we are saying here is you need to integrate aspects of the nitty gritty day to day with what it takes to accomplish the overall operation you are engaged in, whether it's dealing with an entrepreneurship, a business, an internet business, or dealing with a relationship. Look at and identify the Key Aspects of what is involved. Then from there formulate the system by which you will achieve your objectives. There's another practice that will give you tremendous insight in helping with what we call the power of integrative thinking. It's what I call the Mood Graph. The Mood Graph really addresses how you experience the day-to-day things in your life, throughout the day. The Mood Graph is set up on a 30 or 31-day basis where you checkmark the things about what's happening with you, in the morning time, in the noon time, and in the evening time. Throughout the day, our emotions, our mental perspective, our physical selves, and everything else changes throughout the day. The Mood Graph will help you to pinpoint or zero-in on exactly what's happening with you by check marking those things that happen throughout with day. Within three to four weeks the checkmarks on your graph will reveal to you your strengths and weaknesses with great specificity. You will then have the ability to apply your strengths or attend to your weaknesses appropriately. I believe you will find that the Mood Graph is a powerful technique. So as you start to look at these things, and as you go further into the process, you will begin to identify, experience, and appreciate other ways that the Power of Integrative Thinking can be useful in your life. And as always, in all things that you do, that you say, that you dream, You Gotta Have Heart.

Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?
What do YOU really want in life? Or, what do YOU want out of life? The one's that don't understand the difference are what some would refer to as losers in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Most people don’t discover what they truly want in and out of life until it’s time to for them to die! Most would agree and say; that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Most people spend the very best years of their lives watching television or doing things they dislike all together. An author described humanity by saying, “Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty.” If you are one of these living zombies, most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

What do YOU really want in life? What is it that YOU will look back over and have pride in? The one's that don't understand the difference are what some would refer to as losers in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Some people struggle in answering such a question. When asked what they want or what their goals in life are, many are unsure and confused. They dillydally in their indecision, hardly giving any thought about what they want in life. People without definite goals are letting time pass them by and are letting their true happiness be put on hold! Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

If you are undecided about what you want out of life, do not worry; do not lose your composure. There are many ways of discovering your true purpose in life.

To discover what YOU want in life, try looking deep into your heart. Oftentimes, people are ruled by logic. People live by what they think they SHOULD be or by what OTHERS would like for them to be. This discovery process is the perfect time to listen to your own heart. What your heart desires comes from the whispers of your 'authentic' or 'Real self'. Your authentic self is the ‘real you’. The you, you may not be yet, but do not despair, you will get there if you listen to your heart and do not lose hope. If you would only understand, that God has a purpose for you to fulfill. Only YOU can do the job, are you then ready or do you need more time for indecision? The thing you enjoy the most is probably 'IT'. When time stands still and nothing else even matters, that’s how it will feel once you have found 'IT'. The one's that never experience that feeling of accomplishment are what some refer to as losers in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Listen to your heart to be able to hear your authentic self. What your heart says usually feels right. What your heart desires is what you usually love to do and this represents your passion. Anything done with passion is like child's play, where the task is accomplished without hesitation or effort. You pour out your very best and feel no pressure or resistance. No dead-lines or time tables! There are those who would remind you that only loser's in the game of life are rushed and running out of time! Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

You will totally enjoy doing things that are your passion. Setbacks, difficulties, and obstacles will make it more challenging for you, but should not deter you from pursuing your goals. God only allows these things to entertain you and to re-enforce what is true. Naturally, there may be barriers that may prevent you from reaching your goal, but your heart’s desire will find ways to overcome these barriers so that you may ultimately get everything you want in life and be able to laugh at the dopey obstacles you overcame.

Remember this: God supports people who are pursuing their passion and those who are pursuing their destiny. He is patient and ever watchful. He believes you will get there when the time is right. If only you had as much faith in yourself, the time would go by more quickly until the real passion in your life would boil up and introduce itself! However, if you never meet, some would say it's the way things go for losers in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

However, this does not mean that you don’t use your head. People are born with both the mind and heart. Your duty is to live your best life and be in harmony with your mind and heart. The poet Rumi wisely said, “Live completely in the head and you cannot feel the breath and rhythm of life. Live completely in the heart and you may find yourself acting like a love-struck fool with poor judgment and discipline. It’s all a matter of fine balance - the head and heart must forge a lifetime partnership if one wants to live a beautiful life”. A life full of passion and joy is what God wants you to have! To not obtain it would be the fate of the ones who lost at the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Listen to your instinct-It was God who put it into you for a reason. Part of human nature is the mysterious and spontaneous reaction to and about things. Often times, these are called instincts. Your ‘real self’ drives your self communication and guides you via your instincts. Instincts are those gentle nudges that urge you to act and follow a certain path. Your role then, is to listen attentively. God, and all he wants for you, is waiting just around the corner-you may be able to reach it now, if only you would try again! It is liken to the childhood game of hide-and-go-seek! If only you weren't so frazzled you would see the humor in this all! God does and he is smiling, just around the corner. There is a reason 'they' refer to all this as the 'game of life'! The one's that give up are what some would call losers in the 'game of life'! Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Often times, we listen to what others say and allow them to run our lives. Parents often do this to their children. “We come from a family of doctors, so my son must also be a doctor.” How often do we hear this from parents who have good intentions for their children? Parents unconsciously block the true expression of their child’s real self and calling. Friends and critics will discourage you and point out the multitude of impossibilities of your dream ever coming true. Before heeding their advice, evaluate the accomplishments of the critics. Did they achieve their dreams? Do they dream big at all? When the prize is within reach, the cost becomes much less important. This will then be my mantra! God has a plan and I’m in it! Everything I do with ease, everything I enjoy, and what is at the very depths of me, is what I am to do and what God is waiting for me to understand. The one's who say 'the cost is still too high’, haven't been close enough to the prize and are destined to end up losers in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

Remember, it is your destiny that is in line, not your friends. It doesn’t mean, though, that you will not listen to what other people say. Hear them out just the same. Why? Because it is all part of the game silly! But the final decision should be and will be, yours. Those that allow others to permanently side track them are what some would call the loser's in the game of life. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?

There is only one thing to remember: Every person, to live truly and greatly, must define how he wants to live and what his brightest aspects of life will look like. Listen to your instincts and follow your heart’s desire. You will never go wrong. God is waiting for you just around the next corner. Don’t despair while you are this close to the prize! The cost is never ‘too much’ when you are trying to attain ALL that God has waiting for you! You are a part of ‘the’ big picture and therefore you are valuable not only to you and your loved ones, but also to God and His big picture! Reach just a bit further and it is there waiting for you to grasp and control it, it is the real you, standing there just around the corner with God, and grinning ear to ear! The one's that don't put in the extra effort are the ones that lose out of all God's grace and rewards and end up as loser's in the 'game of life'. Most would agree and say; “that’s a shame”, wouldn't you?
