Maria Duval - Meaning Of Each Tarot Card: Read Your Future

Meaning Of Each Tarot Card: Read Your Future
We all seem to come to a crossroads in our lives from time to time when we have big questions about the direction we want to go. These times can involve making decisions about career, relationships, and finances, to name a few. Should I take this new job? Is this the right person for me to marry? When is the best time to buy that new car? This is also when we can seek insight from psychics, astrologers, or tarot card readers. It is popular belief that such alternative practitioners can look in to our future and suggest certain ways to deal with the situation we're facing. In this article, we will begin an introduction to the tarot cards and the meaning of each card, to assist you in understanding the value of a reading. Most of us are familiar with the future-telling tarot card. But not all of us are aware of the rich historical and magical meanings behind each individual card. The tarot is an ornate deck of cards usually adorned with symbols (such as stars and crosses) and images (water, trees, maidens), and is broken down as what is referred to as the Major Arcana and four suits of cards. Every individual card possesses its own meaning, and a series of cards with their individual meanings makes up a unique story for each tarot reading. In the tarot deck, the "Fool" card indicates someone who is not truly aware; the "Magician" indicates someone of great talent; the "High Priestess" indicates someone who is both wise and in possession of intuition; The "Empress" rules over the triad of birth, death, and re-birth, while the "Emperor" is the symbol of control in the world. The "Pope" indicates someone who lives by rituals and beliefs. The "Lovers" represent love; the "Chariot" is the symbol of struggle; and "Strength" speaks for itself. The "Hermit" is one who is a soul-searcher; the "Sun" indicates contentment; and finally, the "Moon" is a feminine, seductive symbol. The 'Star' in the Tarot deck symbolizes positive thinking, optimism and hope. The 'Swords' is another abstract symbol which is used to predict suffering and mental challenges. There are a variety of other symbols that tell what is coming in a persons life. For example, the 'Cups' foretell of changes to the emotional life. If you were to see the 'Wands' card appear it would represent changes in your career. 'Pentacles' would represent money and other material goods. Some cards, like "justice", mean exactly what they say, justice. The card for "death" represents spiritual or mental death as opposed to physical death. Finding the card with the hanged man symbol means self sacrifice. Turn up the "tower" card, and it will show that you are in for a big change. "Temperance" stands for balance and harmony and "judgment" is introspection. These cards all take you to the card for "world". Now, that we have looked at the meaning of each tarot card, the next question would be: How does someone learn how to read tarot cards? To master the art and skill of tarot card reading is an ongoing quest. It requires study, practice, and a sharp intuition. The depth and value of a reading is very dependent on the reader's level of skill. A simpler place to begin is to locate a website that offers a free tarot card reading. Use this as your introduction to this storied practice.

Boost Your Life with Subliminal Messages " For Free!
The US Government tried to ban them on TV and radio back in 1974. They were once arguably used to boost sales of popcorn in movie theaters by almost 60%. And today, they’re the subject of numerous Derren Brown-style “mind” shows airing throughout the globe. I’m talking, of course, about subliminal messages. However despite all the media hype, subliminal messages aren’t just used by advertising moguls trying to get us to buy another can of coke. They can also be employed to make serious and lasting change in our own lives. In this short article, I’m going to share a method you can use to get subliminal messages working for you"starting tonight! But before we begin, let’s ask ourselves: what exactly are subliminal messages? Subliminal is defined as “below the threshold of consciousness”. Subliminal messaging refers to the act of sending messages direct to the powerful subconscious mind, the part of your brain that controls everything from memory to body temperature to providing your conscious mind with its core traits. Subliminals really hit the headlines back in the 70’s, when advertisers began inserting messages into commercials. The messages were simply 100-millisecond flashes, and nobody officially “saw” them. Yet sales mysteriously rocketed. Even Hollywood got in on the act. Alfred Hitchcock planted his own subliminals inside the movie “Psycho”! These suggestions were having so much impact, that the US Government almost banned subliminals back in the mid-70’s " and UK, Australian and Canadian governments actually did ban the technology. Yet by this time, the news was out " and individuals were beginning to realize the potential of subliminals as a revolutionary self-help tool. The idea of sending self-improvement affirmations direct to the subconscious mind was suddenly open to everyone. But how? There are two primary ways you can actually “send” subliminal messages. Visually, such as using the latest Subliminal Power software program (www.subliminal-power.com) to flash messages around your computer screen as you work. Or, less effectively, using sound, such as with the subliminal CDs you can order online at sites such as Subliminal CDs (www.subliminal-cds.com). Yet if your budget is low, there’s an even cheaper way to get the power of subliminal messaging working for you! Here’s how. Begin by identifying a couple of core goals you’d like to concentrate on in your life right now. For example, you may wish to learn faster or quit smoking. Then, write that goal down as a simple, short, positive affirmation. For example, “I am a quick learner” or “I am ready to quit smoking”. Other examples include “I invest wisely”, “My reading speed increases every day”, or “I am now more confident”. Be careful: do not use negative terms, such as “Not” or “Don’t” in your message. The subconscious does not understand such words in context and would read “I don’t gain weight” as “I gain weight”. You have been warned. Now write your affirmation, clearly and in thick black marker pen, onto a sheet of white cardboard. Create three-or-so cards, each with affirmations focusing on your core theme, and store them next to your bed with a flashlight. Next comes the unsociable part! We’re going to catch your mind in a highly receptive state, by waking it up in the middle of the night, when the door to your subconscious is wide open. Set your alarm clock for 3am, then go to sleep as normal. As soon as you hear the ring, turn off the alarm and"almost instinctively"pick up the affirmation cards and your flashlight. The room should be pitch black. Next, flick the flashlight on and off very quickly a dozen times over each affirmation card. While doing this, stare at the cards. Do not consciously try to make out the words. These subliminal messages are for the subconscious. When you’re done, simply turn off the flashlight, put down the cards and return to sleep. It will take just two minutes of your time and I guarantee you’ll fall straight back into deep and restful slumber. That’s it: you’ve just “sent” a bundle of subliminal messages straight to your subconscious. What follows is exciting! After the first few nights of using this technique, most individuals report problem-solving dreams that assist in their goals or influence their decisions. Just a week later and practically all participants note a serious movement toward their core goal. Their leaning speed improves dramatically. Their nicotine addiction is cut in half. As the change comes from within, it isn’t always obvious. Yet a few weeks down the line, most individuals sit back and realize just how far they’ve progressed without consciously realizing it. Soon, your goals have been achieved... the messages worked. When ready, you can move onto your next set of goals by simply writing out a new set of affirmation cards. It’s a very simple system, yet remains highly powerful and terribly underused. Most people reading this article won’t try this straightforward experiment. Maybe they just don’t believe it will work, or maybe they view it as being altogether too much hassle. It’s inconvenient, certainly"perhaps not as user-friendly as a piece of modern subliminal software. But you think it doesn’t work? Then try it for a week, and see for yourself. Anthony Robbins, Tiger Woods, Derren Brown, New Scientist magazine, even the U.S. Government all know the power behind subliminal messaging. And if you don’t, maybe it’s about time you caught up.

Mystical Land, Powerful Journey
Imagine meditating on an active volcano. Mauna Loa, on the Big Island of Hawaii, is the most massive mountain on Earth; measured from its base on the seafloor it rises 56,000 (27,000 higher than Everest from the base) and lies over 13,700 above sea level. It was snowing on the peak even as we basked in the sun on the black sandy beaches of Puna, approximately 30 miles south of Hilo. All of Hawaii is beautiful, but I have never been to such an incredible place and wanted to share with you what a SAI retreat was like so you can join us next time. Each morning we were led by Maura Hoffman in an absolutely wonderful yoga workout and then led into a powerful Shaktipat meditation, so by breakfast we were already naturally high as a kite. Late morning and afternoon we would typically go on excursions and meet up again in the late afternoon for Dhyana, getting even higher on the Divine. By the end of the week everyone went to an even deeper level in their meditations and several people had life changing breakthroughs as the Shakti just sets your spirit free. One day we went hiking to beautiful Akaka Falls and then went swimming with sea turtles, another day we went into a lava tube ---the womb of the Volcano--- and sat sauna style as steam vented up into the darkened chamber. Another day we went trance dancing with another retreat group and later danced on the beach to the sounds of a dozen drums beating and the crashing of waves on the beach. We also went to the geo-thermal natural hot tubs, snorkeled about with beautiful fish, ate incredible natural meals, got massages, and had fun activities each night, such as, Kaya Kalpa Anti-Aging Secrets, Tantra, Love Tap's, Kriya Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Bliss Sessions. We also just hung out on the beach and got to know each other better. But the height of the trip was walking out to the lava flow. Kilauea extends out the side of Mauna Loa and is still active. We could see the steam from the lava flowing miles away from our totally decked out retreat center Rama Shala. Friday evening we hiked out of Volcano National Park and went within feet of flowing magma (molten rock) as it dropped right into the sea expanding Hawaii's shore line. Maura and I stripped down in the pitch of darkness and swam right out to the middle of the lava flow, within 100 feet of the cascading lava sputtering like a pressure cooker as it met the crashing waves below. The whole ocean reflected the bright orange glow as we bounded in the bubbling waters heated by the lava. For a hundred yards to our left and to our right was red-hot lava flowing into the ocean. Absolutely amazing. I had to tell someone (hope Mom isn't reading this). Go to http://www.selfawareness.com/VideoPhotoGallery.html to see the photos. From the Heart, Steven S. Sadleir

The Zohar
We have all heard of the term "God-Realization" and most would consider it an Eastern Concept, something sought after by Buddhists and Yogis alike, and it is, but few people realize that the Bible itself leads us to "God-Realization." To enter the Kingdom of Heaven is to realize, and have your awareness dwelling in, and with, the presence of God. Both Eastern and Western paths strive to feel the bliss of being in God's presence and envision a time where we will all live together in happiness and peace here on Earth. The Old Testament, the Torah, is written with metaphors and cryptic messages that have become clarified through the study of the Kabbalah; the primary text of which is called The Zohar, or Book of Splendor. The teachings of Kabbalah are said to trace back to Adam himself and carried on through the prophets to the present day. The first written texts, and a classic period of study of Kabbalah, began around the first century, with commentaries being added on through the ages. In this study of God and Man's nature and purpose, the Kabbalah clarifies that we are here to awaken our spiritual awareness and evolve our consciousness to full God-Realization and to bring this enlightened awareness into this world in order to invoke the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. It makes very clear that enlightenment is the very goal and purpose to our existence, and the stories in the bible contain the messages that will enlighten us as to how God thinks and what we are here to do. Even more interesting is that this information has been keep secret for thousands of years and it has only just recently been printed, unabridged, in English and made available to the public. The reason, we are told, is that we have entered the age of the Messiah and individuals are going to start enlightening in preparation for it. We have entered the age of Prophesy and unlike any other time in the history of civilization we are being given an opportunity to enlighten and, in fact, we are being called to. The first century Jewish sect called the Essenes were the only sect known to perform baptisms, as John the Baptist and Christ did, and this sect were known to have had practiced Kabbalah. Christ is inviting us to realize his Divine presence right here on Earth and we are being invited to realize that the spirit that lies within us, is us. Those who have eyes let them see. The Kingdom of Heaven lies within. Amen. PS: I have so much more I want to share, come join in during our Satsang and free guided meditations teleconferenced each month. From the heart, Steven S. Increasing Brain Power
Everyone still wants to have an active mind when they are elderly and some parents even try to increase brain power in their children when they are still in the womb! Some child development experts believe that a fetus will grow into a more intelligent child if it hears Mozart being played. There is no scientific proof of this but it won't do any harm. There is an obsession amongst some parents to force feed knowledge to their children. This hot housing, as it's known, is done by showing flash cards to infants who can barely talk yet. It's a sad fact that we lose brain cells, as we get older. We start to notice it in little ways, such as going into a room and forgetting what we went in for. Remembering people's names and appointments can also be problematic. There are some products on the market that make claims to increase brain power. They usually involve some sort of memory activity. The medical establishment doesn't really know why some people's minds deteriorate at a faster rate than others but the consensus is that staying mentally active is very important. It shouldn't be left until we retire either. Those gray cells need a work out when we are middle aged. Activities such as doing the crossword, sudoku and other puzzle games are all helpful. Games like chess and backgammon can also help to increase brain power. The brain is like any other muscle. It will shrivel with lack of use. Set yourself challenges. Learn a new skill such as a new language. Children are on hand to teach complex computer games to the young at heart. Some people believe that diet is also an important factor and fish oil is recommended. A school in the UK recently conducted an experiment. They got permission from the parents to give fish oil tablets to the students. The teachers reported a remarkable improvement in the alertness and standard of work from those taking the tablets. That doesn't explain why fish have a three minute memory! The brain can't be expected to do its job if the body isn't receiving the sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals. We are bound to be sluggish if we constantly fill ourselves with fast food. Exercise is important too if you want to increase brain power. Mind and body working together is the best way to keep the brain ticking.

Show Reverence For Your Body: The Practice Of Gratitude And Affirmations
When creating a system of self discovery, it is important to turn all negative thoughts into positive functional awareness. First it?s important to take a full body inventory to establish all the parts of your body you love, and those you're not so crazy about. After this is accomplished, what happens next?

In this article we'll take a look at the importance of putting all of the body together as one unit; the importance of establishing a total positive body reverence and awareness. All the while however, it is important to remember the ultimate goal: full body acceptance.

Here, I've outlined a three step process to integrate both the positive thoughts about your individual body parts and the functionality of your body, as well as to advance positive awareness for the parts of the body which you once thought about unfavorably.

Gratitude
The first step in the process of integrative positive self awareness is gratitude. It is important for the flourishing of positive body awareness and growth that you establish a sense of gratitude for where you are in the moment and what shape and form your body is in right now. In my opinion, this moves the focus off of the appearance of your body and shifts the awareness to its functionality.

During this first step, take time to appreciate the gifts your body has given you right now. Some questions to meditate upon include:

? What are the gifts that I have been given?
? Do I acknowledge my gifts and appreciate them for the uniqueness that they hold?
? Am I grateful for my gifts?

I believe that we are all given unique talents and gifts from the universe in order to complete our divine purpose. I also believe that we flourish when we use these talents we have been blessed with. With respect to the body, however, think for a moment: What unique qualities does my body possess? Take a few moments each day to say "thank you" by using these particular parts of yourself. If you need a checkpoint: Make note in your journal of your specific talents and the ways in which you use them.

Creating Affirmations
In effort to show love and reverence for your body, I love to use this secret weapon: affirmations. What I love about affirmations is, they put the energy of the universe in motion based on your desire. Therefore, to nurture a positive reverence for your body, use this step as an exercise, as well. Here's how: Take the gifts you have noted above and create positive statements about them.

For example:

? Thank you for giving me the ability to write - I am so grateful!
? Thank you for giving me strong fingers with which to type!

After you have completed your gratitude list, there is a second part of the equation necessary of your consideration: Are you making time to use your gifts? As I've said before, I believe that when we use our gifts, the universe smiles. I believe this is the most important part in our growth - utilizing our own gifts.

Make a note of affirmation to yourself in your journal: "Today I will find a way to utilize the talents for which I have been given." Then, look for the subtle opportunities. Continue by making a list of ways you could contribute to the world with what you have to offer. I believe you will find what you focus on expands. You may even realize gifts you never knew you had!

Where the body is concerned, you can also use affirmations to turn your perceived subordinate body parts into strong and positive ones. Do this by becoming aware of your self talk. Are there parts of yourself for which you exude negativity? Turn these negatives to positives. Again, in your journal, practice positive self talk.

? My body supports me, I love my body
? My legs are strong and secure they support me, I love my legs

Continuing The Process: Find Your Personal Best
It is important to make a constant and consistent effort to be aware of your body and speak to it in a positive manner. I believe the best and most concise way to do this is through your journal. A journal is your connection to the divine. When you write words on a page, tell yourself that you are sending a message to the universe, a memo to the divine.

Moreover, when you take time to reflect on yourself remember: You are the only you there is. Make an effort to find your own personal best. Make a game of it: Find the clothes you enjoy wearing and the activities you enjoy doing. It is important to be true to yourself in all that you do. Make this a fun process of self discovery? the discovery of you!

In conclusion, continue your process of journaling and inventorying your body. Each day as you wake, thank your body for all the beauty and grace it provides. Love your body by being good to it, by resting it, exercising and practicing positive self talk. If you take care of your body be assured, it will take care of you.

Journal Exercises

? In your journal choose 5 body parts you would like to focus on today
? Create positive affirmative statements for each body part
? Copy your affirmations to cards and carry them in your purse or wallet. When you get a free moment in your day, take time to pull out the cards and read the affirmations aloud or to yourself.

Your Inner Compass
We each have an inner compass guiding us to fulfill our purpose. We all have an inner knowing that is providing the impetus for us to develop ourselves. We are all evolving, all growing more conscious through all our life experiences; all part of a critical mass of awareness that is awakening within the collective consciousness of humanity. We are each being guided to realize our full potential by realizing our Self. Self-realization is the culmination of humanity's potential, it is the underlying desire within all humans; it is our instinct to evolve. Enlightenment is innate. Your true Self is already realized. You couldn't be anything other than that which you already are. It is time for your full self-realization. Reflecting on your own nature helps your mind align with the part of you that already knows. Having the presence of mind to check your compass brings your mind in alignment with the spirit that's calling you to wake up from the dream, to remember who you are and why you were born so you can fulfill the purpose of your existence. The energy the guides you to be reading and reflecting on these words is your spirit. Your spirit is guiding your mind as you are reading these words as evidenced by the fact that you are reading them. It's bringing your mind into focus on the feeling that is your spirit reaching out to your mind. Shaktipat meditation is tuning to that feeling. When you put your attention on the place between the eyebrows, as we teach, energy flows to this area and several incredible things happen: Your pituitary gland is stimulated, and working in conjunction with your pineal gland, they regulate heart rate, metabolism, respiration and other biological functions, bringing about a more peaceful state. This endocrine response further facilitates the lowering of your brain wave activity; guiding you down from Beta (14-40 cps) to Alpha (7-13 cps) then Theta (4-6 cps) and eventually Delta (0-3 cps). From within this inner quiet greater clarity, insight, happiness and peace develop. This meditation also draws the energy from your nervous system up to the uppermost regions of your brain; the "crown" in the frontal and temporal lobes of your neo-cortex. Herein lies our sixth sense, and by developing this sense your own nature is reflected back to your mind and your mind realizes the true nature of your Self. When you meditate on your 3rd Eye, you plug into the very life force current that you are; your mind is simply connecting with your spirit, consciously. Each time you meditate on your 3rd eye, you align with the energy guiding you; spirit guides you like a compass needle pointing the way. Picture me reaching out to you in the screen of your mind, connect like a radio tuning into a broadcast, and my spirit will join with yours and we can move into this state of consciousness together. Like Saint Peter awaiting you at the pearly gates, I am reaching out to you in spirit to enter the Kingdom of Heaven that lies within. I will meet you here. From the heart, Steven S. Sadleir

How Meditation Will Help You in Learning the Path to Enlightenment and Ascension
The world is made up simply of energy. That is right … what causes the beats in our heart, what makes our minds work, what gives us those feelings is simply energy. Buddha talks about enlightenment and Buddhist Monks will spend this and the next life time learning how to become enlightened or more importantly how to ascend our spiritual body into the next. So, what is death? I have seen many people die around me, both family and friends. I watched the transition of my own grandfather from being a strong fit man to one that literally withered before my eyes. Yet within the pain comes a reality that as we become closer to death we also have the chance to make the transition from this form to another. Whether it is a form that lives within us or one that occurs on the moment we die, none of us know till the day it happens. You know the really cool part about all of this. All of the critics no matter who they are and what they think they know can say with 100% certainty as to what happens not just when we die but when we meet the point of enlightenment and ascension. It amazes me that as every person gets older, regardless of their beliefs, regardless of how hard nose they are or whether they believed in God or not, they all search for that point of knowing that there is something out there greater. Our own mortality and I guess our own arrogance wants to know we are going to go some where greater and that what we have done will continue on. Every single person I have seen or met believe as they get older, in that greater being or at least the hope there is something greater out there and that this is not the beginning and the end. I have even seen some of the most powerful men in this world, mellow as their own frailty hits them they search out for that spiritual being to help them in their transition. I have heard many critics across the planet criticize the Buddhist monks who have dedicated their lives to path of enlightenment. I have even heard those same critics on the death bed of monks sit and laugh at them saying how foolish they were to have dedicated their lives to such foolish conquests. That there lives have been nothing but a waster of time. But have they … This is a question that only you and I will be able to answer the day we reach enlightenment but what a journey it will be… So, what is the starting point in the path to enlightenment … The path to enlightenment is an exploration of yourself and who you are. Most Buddhists will start this path through prayer and meditation. In fact, regardless of what you call it, prayers or praying, it is all a form of meditation. This meditation (or prayers) are designed to take you to that state in which you get in touch which your feelings and belief with something greater. It is designed to break you away from your state of being. Many people recommend, including many of the Buddhist Monk leaders, that we should meditate for a minimum of 20 minutes a day, preferably longer to help relax but as you begin to study what meditation is all about and the forms of meditation, you will find that this length of time will be know where near enough. You will find that meditation is about that search for enlightenment and the path towards this thing we call ascension. You will feel sensations and experiences you never expected, it will also open up your ability to change your own life. Meditation is the facilitator in helping you reach inside of you. See without meditation you can not reach to your inner soul to explore your inner self. Essentially, to break the bounds we have with the physical world. All right, so this is getting spooky or the things hippies talk about. Let us try this … Think of a song you really really like that gives you goose pimples, where it uplifts you and you feel the energy surging through your body, that you feel happy, search for those emotions … got one … well one of the songs that does that for me is “A Groovy Kind of Love” by Phil Collins. Now start off by putting your song on and listening to it. Sit on the ground, cross your legs, breath slowly and listen to that song in its entirety. Block out all the other noise around you, simply focuses on the words as your mind clears. What do you feel … Let go of the words … do not focus on them … focus on your inner self. Can you still feel the goose pimples, can you feel the energy surging around your body. Okay, so now imagine this, being anywhere in the world, simply stopping, without any music or tools, meditating, searching within your inner self and feeling those exact feelings. Being able to create and control those feelings on your command. That is right; using meditation will help you on that path. How cool would that be? Being able to do just this simple task is the first step you will take in your path to enlightenment. It is about being able to control you inner self, letting go and eventually being able to break the bounds of the physical world. That takes practice, study but more so, a lot of experimenting. There is nothing anyone but you who can do this. This path is within you. A word of warning … the path to enlightenment will take a lifetime to master … and probably a few after. Look at the Dalai Lama, he is still on his path to enlightenment, and many lifetimes on. But hey, what a journey it will be. Imagine what you can do … imagine what lies on your path to life, your future, your eternity.

Meditations: Meditating Sitting on a Chair
Meditation has been embraced by western society over the last few years with more and more people choosing to meditate to help them cope with day to day life. It amazes me that in a society in which each of us are wealthier than our grandparents that we are certainly no happier than the people during the depression. In fact I honestly believe we are more miserable than those who suffered the worst period in history. Meditation is an excellent tool to help you deal with challenging times. There are many different methods that you can use to meditate, you can sit on a floor, sit on the grass, lay on a bed or sit on a chair. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages so what we want to look focus on is the method of meditating in a chair and some of the elements of this meditation technique you need to be aware of. The Chair Meditation technique can be used literally anywhere. You can meditate on a chair at work, at home, if you are in a wheelchair or if you are sitting on plane going to that important business meeting. However there are a number of key elements to be aware of that will affect your comfort and your ability to effectively meditate on a chair. The first step in meditating in a chair is that you need to sit in it. Make sure that you have removed your shoes so that you can feel the floor and have a connection with your surroundings. You feet should be flat on the floor, if you can not touch the floor then find a chair in which you can. Whilst you are sitting in the chair make sure that you back are straight and comfortable. Do not tense your back during the session or keep it rigid because if you do you will find during your meditation that your back will get sore and will affect you ability to be able to maintain focus. The next step is too look at your hands. Place your palms onto each leg and place your palms upwards. If you are sitting in a confined space, like an airline seat put your open right hand on top of your left hand and put them into your lap. Now it is time to focus on your shoulders. They should be level and your elbows should be parallel with your legs if you have placed your hands on your knees. If you have put your hands into your lap then your elbows should be slightly away from your body. You mouth is another important aspect of your meditation in a chair. You need to ensure that your jaw is relaxed and that your tongue is resting on the back of the top row of your teeth. The last aspect you need to consider is your eyes. My personal preference when meditating is to close my eyes, but I know that some of my colleagues prefer to meditate in a chair with their eyes slightly open gazing towards the floor but maintaining focus. Now that you are sitting in the chair effectively, you can now begin your meditation session. A deep breath meditation technique is always a good way to start simply because your posture on the chair is more conducing to an open chest and makes breathing a little more easier. Look meditating on a chair can be just as effective as meditating on the floor. The most important thing to remember is to ensure you address the 7 areas of posture I discussed before. An effective posture ensures that the energy you emit during your meditation session will be able to flow freely and you will reduce the chance of a distraction. The bottom line is this, if you are using a chair to meditate you should be sitting in a manner that ensures you are comfortable and you are not going to be distracted but at the same time you do not want to be so comfortable that you fall asleep.
