Maria Duval - Law Of Attraction - Create a Vision Board To Bring More Money Into Your Life

Law Of Attraction - Create a Vision Board To Bring More Money Into Your Life
"O.K. I have asked Universe again and again for something I want. I have thought about it and envisioned it and it is no closer to showing up than the first day I asked." Does this sound familiar to you? This is one of the most frequent complaints I hear from people who have learned, read and studied about the Law of Attraction but are having problems making it work for them personally. It is usually pretty easy when I delve a little deeper into their situation to figure out what the problem is. For instance, say you declare that you want to create a lot of money. You can see it in your minds eye, you may even be able to "feel" how it feels to have it (very important, by the way), and you do this for about an average of 10-20 seconds a day. And you have done it exactly right. That is all that is required for the Universe to kick into action and start working its magic to bring it to you. However, a week later you find that you are no better off than you were before - sometimes you find your situation may even be worse. So what is the problem? The problem is not in how or what you asked for. The Universe is totally neutral. It does not care what it delivers or to whom it brings it. The problem lies in what you think about after you have asked for the money. While those 10 to 20 seconds are very important every day, what are you thinking about the other 14 to 16 hours you are awake? What are you thinking if a creditor calls, when you open your mail and see the bills, when your kids want something extravagant? Do you feel a knot in your stomach. Do you say things like, "there is no way I can pay this, or that bill is outrageous, or we absolutely cannot afford that?" You see, in having these thoughts the rest of the day Universe will again kick in to do its job. But now it will reverse its original direction of that mornings objective and now focus on the messages it is currently being given. So what is the answer? Quite simply, is to keep your focus more often on what you do want during the day as opposed to what you do not want. You see, whichever thought gets more of the attention - wins! It is the law! So then you may ask, "Well how am I supposed to do that? Most of my day is dealing with trying to figure out how I am going to pay for everything. Its great to dream and envision but I also have to deal with my current reality which is currently not very abundant". This is where a Vision Board or Creation Board comes in. A Vision Board is a board or place where you put all of the things you are wanting Universe to provide to you. You simply go through magazines or the internet and find pictures of exactly what it is you are wanting. Clip them out and put them on your board. If you can't find a picture of what you are wanting, you can type up a saying, a reminder or an affirmation. Make it fancy, print it out and put it on your board. The important part is to have it someplace where you can remind yourself constantly that your current financial state is only temporary and the things and places on that board is where you are headed. So now your next question might be "But what if I work someplace where I can't display a board to look at all day long? or "What if I don't want the rest of the world knowing what it is that I am creating -- It is very personal to me." To that I say - be creative! Write it down in one of those little notepads you can easily store in your pocketbook and look at it frequently. If you are a man, insert little cards into your wallet that you will see every time you open it. Actually, one of my personal favorites is putting the board on your computer. Especially if you work in an office or do not want a large board hanging in your home for all to see. There are great programs available that will help you create your Vision Board right on your own computer or laptop that you can glance at anytime you want. You can add pictures to them, even music. You can create slide shows. In truth I have found these to be the most effective. I have found that the boards I have made on the computer with these programs, where I have also inserted my favorite inspiring song or have used my own voice, stay with me all day even when I am not directly in front of the computer looking at it. I find myself humming the song and the video replaying in my mind automatically and I find myself giving much more attention to what I do want as opposed to what I do not want quite naturally. Which of coarse in turn, brings to me what I want so much faster. Some of these new programs even have the ability to download a mini version onto your iPod, cell phone, PDA and digital photo frames. How cool is that?! The one I most often use has a pop up balloon that displays my affirmations at a chosen time interval so it pops up and reminds me even if I am not consciously thinking about it. So get started today! Get excited and go find the pictures of the things that you are wanting in your life! Cut and paste to make your own physical board or go make that video. Feel inspired as you know you are taking the first action towards changing your life. You will find yourself getting so caught up in it that you will not want to stop. Watch the video or look at your board as often as possible and feel good and inspired by it! Remember the more time you spend focusing on what you do want, the faster it will come to you! Happy Creating!

"Rose Ariadne's Original, Confident Beauty Spell"
Here is the first in the easy witchcraft spell series, and it works best when done in the light of a full moon...

1. You'll need a small hand mirror, the items you normally have on your altar, an extra handle of your favorite color (representing yourself), and a small charm or figurine that you find beautiful (it represents your attractiveness and beauty, both inside and out).

2. Create your sacred spaces, cleanse your area, cast your circle, and all of the other things laid out for you in the Mystical World Of Ancient Witchcraft.

3. Light your deity candles, and as you sit in the light of the candles (and the full moon) begin by looking at yourself in the mirror. As you are gazing at yourself, focus on all of the positive features you have... don't let ANY negative thoughts enter your mind. Look at your skin, your nose, your mouth, your eyes...acknowledge each part of your face and recognize how unique and special each part is. You came from the earth, you know, and the earth is truly beautiful - how could you be any less?

4. Now, as you continue looking into the mirror, say:

"I recognize myself, Rose Ariadne (or whatever your name is), as being a unique and beautiful person from the tips of my toes to the top of my head - and everywhere inside."

5. Hold the mirror in your left had, as you light YOUR candle. Place the charm next to the candle, at it's base.

6. Tilt the mirror so that you can see your candle, and the charm in it's reflection. Now say :

"This candle represents me, Rose Ariadne (or whatever your name is). And this charm is my beauty on inside and out, that nobody lays claim to but me. For I am unique and special. As I see both of them in this mirror of light, so they are both a part of me. Myself, forever together with my beauty. No words will change it, no thought disband it. And so it is. So mote it be!"

7. Blow out your candles, open your circle, and put things away... all the while think about the spell you just cast, and the feeling of confidence that has welled up inside of you. Focus on that feeling, remember how it feels, and make a promise to yourself not to let it go... but if you ever falter, and negativity takes hold in you again - this ritual will always be there for you to instantly rebuild your confidence...

Are You Living the Fearless Life?
Are You Living The Fearless Life? When people think about being fearless it usually conjures up images of mountain climbers on Everest, skydivers jumping out of airplanes, and race car drivers on the Nascar circuit. Most people think I could never do that. The truth of the matter is this. Every person who ever scaled Everest, jumped out of an airplane or raced around a track at 200 miles an hour was scared to death! They were putting their lives on the line and there was no guarantee that they would return alive. The difference between them and us is simple. They faced the fear and didnt allow it to overwhelm their need for adventure, their need to go beyond their usual comfort zone. In my role as coach to midlife women, I am constantly surprised at how many women undervalue the amount of courage it takes to live. One of my clients had a child was very ill, she nursed him through the worst part of it, and continued to do her job where the expectation was that no matter what, she had to be in on time and do her work. She did it because they needed the money to pay the medical bills. She felt there was no choice. When told how courageous it was of her to do this, she looked at me blankly and said what else could I do? How many women take their heroic journeys and say what else could I do? Or, Who else was going to do it? As women, we underplay our strengths and shrug it off as a trade-off. For what? We carry the load. Men may feel they are out there creating the wealth, but today thats no longer the truth. More women than ever are in the workforce AND still doing all the other stuff they did before. Who has the harder job? In my opinion there is no contest. Women have expectations about doing it all. We work, we take care of the children, we cook, we clean and we run all the errands. When the kids are sick, or our husband is having problems at work, we nurture them and we continue to run until we run on empty. We get tired, depressed, anxious and angry. And we wonder why it has to be that way. Along the way, we lost the passion for living. When we were little girls we dreamed about what we would be when we were growing up. We played at being teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers and mommies. We travelled the globe on our wall maps and listened to the music and thought about becoming a rock star. We pushed away the doubts and went to college sure that we could do anything, and then the dream started to fizzle. We did well in school, or didnt, we found work that satisfied, or didnt, and we married happily, or didnt. And bit by bit, the dream that said you could do anything was gradually taken over by necessities. Money to pay the rent, children who needed special care, husbands who were never home because their job took them away for days on end. We found ourselves taking care of the daily grind and gradually, ever so gradually, the desire and passion for something different, for something more, dwindled to a whisper. We are happy when we are with our family. Our children give us enormous pleasure (and pain); and our relationships over the years have deepened into friendships that are the backbone of our existence. But something is missing and we cant quite put our finger on it. When we reach our forties, we start to feel that the dreams we once had are no longer possible. We give in to the quiet despair of midlife believing Is that All There Is and knowing in your heart that the answer is no. What is it that stands in our way from living the life we used to believe was possible? I believe its Fear. We live in a fear based world. Our culture breeds it in the daily dose of terror news. We are constantly bombarded by whats good for our health. People die from eating the wrong things. The latest was spinach. People die from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We live in a world without proper health care and we ignore countries in the rest of the world because we have enough troubles of our own at home. Is it any wonder that we dont want to deal with our own fears? Better the devil we know than the one we dont. I was forty-three years old and I had been in a relationship for thirteen years. We had three children, including his daughter from a second marriage. It was not the easiest relationship to be in because we were both strong-willed and stubborn people. We fought on a regular basis but found mutual ground in the love our children. On one occasion, our fighting reached a crescendo and I was ready to leave. As usual, it was all his fault. He had made my life impossible with his demands, his thoughtlessness and his constant need for attention. I had had enough. In the midst of our screaming at each other he yelled You made the choices, not me. It stopped me in my tracks. The words stuck to my brain and resonated for hours afterwards. I hated to admit it, but he was right. It had been my choice to accept less than I wanted, to give more than I wanted to, to place myself in a secondary position so that I took care of everyone elses needs first. I wasnt even sure I knew what it was I needed at that moment, but I knew one thing. I was scared to take responsibility for my own emotional happiness. We keep ourselves in a state of fear! We all make choices. Some good, some bad, but they are choices. I didnt realize that for a very long time and wanted to blame over there for most of the unhappiness in my life. We all have to make decisions. Sometimes these decisions may seem like there is no choice, but there always is. Now all of this may sound like youve heard it all before. You have. But the sad state of affairs is that most women dont take time for their own needs and make excuses for why they wont move ahead into a life of fulfilment. We all have choices and if we dont choose the things that make us feel good, that inspire us to get out of bed each day, and celebrate the life we live, we only have one person to blame. Living the Fearless life is not a choice. Living the Fearless life means facing the fears that stop you in your tracks, that cause you to make excuses about why you cant do something, or refuse to make the changes that will mean feeling more fulfilled and happier with your life. Think about this. In 2006, it is expected that women in their fifties will live until they are in their mid-eighties if their health is good. Thats thirty more years of living!! You might have another forty or more. How exciting is that. Isnt it about time you gave yourself what you need? What you want? What will make you happy? If you dont know what that is, find help to unearth the part of you that was buried in the landslide called living the unfulfilled life. Stop making excuses for not taking action. I know its hard. I know there are a million reasons why you cant take care of yourself. There are as many excuses as there are stars in the sky, but you dont have to wait until they burn out. That will take millions of years and you dont have that long. Thirty years is a long time to be doing something you dont want. Thirty years is another lifetime of putting your own needs first and creating the life you want to live. At the beginning of this article, I used the examples of Everest and skydiving. Facing our fears does not have to be so monumental. But we do have to face up to our fears each and every day. Its in the million details of our daily lives. The decisions we take in our jobs, our families and in our personal care. My challenge to you is simple. Live the Fearless Life by facing the fears each day. Life is not about being Fearless, its about facing the fears and doing what makes us uncomfortable. This is my first article. I put off writing it for weeks. Now that Ive done the outline, Ive got something to work with and Ill improve. My fear is getting up and saying to you that you can do this. Im an expert on Fear. Ive lived with it from the earliest part of my life. But Ive refused to give in to it. I was nine years old, living in an old Scottish tenement building that was built during the reign of Mary Queen of Scots. It was either haunted or I had an overly active imagination. One night I awoke to find a tall dark figure standing by the side of my bed. It looked huge and I could not make out any discerning features. It did not move and neither did I. I looked at it for a few minutes waiting for it to do something until I eventually closed my eyes and fell asleep once more. In the morning I asked everyone in our building if they had come to my bed the night before but no one did. To this day, I am convinced it was FEAR that came to visit. I lived with an abusive, alcoholic father and each day was spent in terror of doing something wrong. We manifest what we most dread. It took me a long time, but eventually I understood that living life fearlessly was not living a life without worry, but about facing the worries, the anxieties and the dread that comes with taking chances. You owe it to yourself to take the chance.

Thomas Alva Edison - Inspiration And Perspiration
Almost everyone knows who Thomas Alva Edison is. Does anyone know that Thomas Alva Edison created more than eight hundred light globes before he made one that finally worked? By a small carbonized filament and an improved vacuum inside the globe, he was finally able to produce a reliable, long-lasting source of light on lower current electricity. When Edison was seven years old, he has already developed a fascination for anything involve mechanically and chemical experiments. At the local schoolhouse, after enduring his persistent questioning and self-centered behavior, his short-tempered teacher eventually declared that his brains were either addled or scrambled. His furious mother quickly took him home and began to tutor him herself. She was convinced that her son unusual demeanor and hyperactive behavior were just signs of his remarkable intelligence. Although Edison had only three months of formal schooling, it did not deter him from finding ways via independent self-instruction to appease his ever huge appetite for knowledge in contemporary mathematics, physics and engineering. Before he began his career as an inventor, he sold newspaper and candy on trains running from station to station. He became a skillful telegrapher after being trained for only three months. Telegraphy related inventions were some of his earliest master pieces. Armed with an immeasurable patience and a kaleidoscopic mind teamed with photographic memory, his highly individualistic style of acquiring knowledge led him to scores of experiments and eventually his own related theories. By the turn of the 20th century, Thomas Alva Edison is considered one of the most prolific inventors in history. He had developed hundreds of devices and gadgets that improved lives around the world. In addition, he was often credited with the creation of the first industrial research laboratory which was build in Menlo Park, New Jersey. Among Edison's most famous inventions is the first practical and long-lasting light bulb. He also refined and developed other gadgets such as the phonograph, typewriter and the motion picture projector/ camera. All these happened despite being partially deaf. In fact, his handicap did not hinder him from pursuing his dreams to invent. Instead, his deafness allegedly aided him because it blocked out noises that disturbed him and his work. How often are we faced with difficulties and problems in our daily life? And how often did they slow us down in our progress? Did we treat them as challenges and play them to our advantage like the way Edison has done? Or did we stop what we are doing and give up trying?

To Know Him Is to Love Him
More years ago than I care to remember there was a popular song that went like this: "To know, know, know him, is to love, love, love him; and I do." It had a catchy tune and sounded romantic. After all, when you're in love with someone, you want to know all there is to know about that person. The more you get to know that person, the more you're likely to love him/her. That's the way it is with God's Love. You cannot give unconditional love unless you have it, and you don't know you have it until you give it away. You see, God's kind of love is very patient and kind. It is not envious, proud, or hypocritical, and does not seek self-satisfaction, exasperation or evil thoughts. It hates wrong-doing, but always rejoices in the truth. Love will endure much, being ever faithful, hopeful, and dependable. (1Cor.13: 4-8) Is that a tall order, or what! If you are to measure up to that definition of love, than you may be tempted to give up before you start, right? It's no wonder that so many marriages, partnerships, friendships and families are broken up every day! The big question is, how can you ever be so much in love forever, even when the other person's love grows cold? Could you love someone who does not know you and you know is far from perfect? Your answer to that might be: "Only God could do that!" Well, guess what? While you were yet a sinner, Christ died for you! (Rom. 5: 9) In fact, you love Him, because He first loved you! You see, God is Love. That's who He is! Without Him there is no real Love. If you should say that you love God, yet at the same time hate your brother, you would be lying. Why? Well, how could you not love your brother whom you see and know, and love God whom you have not seen? Therefore, if you really love God, then you would love your brother as well! (1 John 4: 19-21) That's why there is really only one Commandment: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." In fact, Jesus added that, if you obey that commandment, you will live! (Luke 10: 27-28) That's interesting! I had never quite noticed that last part before! If you strive to live your life filled with God's love, then you will truly live a full, wonderful life here on earth as well as an everlasting life! Are you sure that you have everlasting life? Do you know God? You will come to love Him more and more by spending daily quality time with Him in His Word. "Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, so are we in this world." (1 John 4: 15-17) Be encouraged, friend. If you are struggling with love, go to God and ask Him to help you. Jesus promises that if you stay close to Him and read and meditate on His Word, you can ask whatever you want, and it shall be done for you! (John 15: 7) and: "If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode wit him." (John 14: 23)

What is the Zodiac?
Before looking at what the zodiac is, it is important first to understand what the ecliptic is. If you were to imagine what you see when you look up into the sky, and if you tracked the apparent movement of the Sun through it, this is what is meant when the word ecliptic is used. Put simply it means the apparent pathway of the Sun through the sky as viewed from earth. The zodiac is actually a group of constellations that form the backdrop to the Sun's apparent pathway through the sky that extends 9 degrees on either side of the ecliptic. The orbits of the planets (and our Moon) also fall within this zodiac belt. The word zodiac stems from the ancient Greeks - zodiakos kyklos, "circle of animals", or ta zodia, "the little animals" because most of the constellations through which the ecliptic passes represent animals. Although the constellations are irregular in size and shape the 12 astrological signs are generally allocated 30 degrees each. "The word zodiac stems from the ancient Greeks - zodiakos kyklos, "circle of animals", or ta zodia, "the little animals..." The ecliptic was clearly identified and divided into 12 equal signs of the zodiac around 450 BC in Mesopotamia. Most reference sources indicate that the zodiac is a Babylonian invention - the oldest record of the zodiacal signs is a cuneiform horoscope from 419 BC. At the same time, Greek sources claim the discovery of the ecliptic during the second half of the 5th century BC. Like many historical developments it is quite possible that both the Greek and Babylonian cultures developed these systems at about the same time. Symbolically, each of the zodiac signs (Aries - Ram; Taurus - Bull; Gemini - Twins; Cancer - Crab; Leo - Lion; Virgo - Virgin; Libra - Scales; Scorpio - Scorpion; Sagittarius - Archer; Capricorn - Goat; Aquarius - Water Bearer; and Pisces - Fish) represent various qualities. For example, Aries is represented by a Ram and the qualities of initiative, bravery and assertiveness. Because the Sun's (apparent) pathway through the heavens is basically constant and can be found at roughly the same spot for the same date in each year, this is how we came to use Sun Signs: the position of the Sun in relation to the backdrop of the zodiac constellations. This system is convenient because the average person doesn't have to have complicated planetary positions worked out to know which constellation affects them personally, the date of birth is all that is needed in most cases.

Occult Fiction: Novels for Your Private Collection, Part 1
For years I’ve heard complaints about a lack of Occult fiction portraying Witches realistically in a contemporary setting. And it’s true. As a Wiccan and novelist writing Occult fiction, I’m just as much a fan of the genre as any reader. However, I have found if you search carefully, there are dazzling gems awaiting discovery, novels that should be a part of your contemporary Occult fiction collection.

To find these novels I have narrowed my search criteria to dark urban fantasy novels set in contemporary times or in the near future. At least half the rituals, magick, or sorcery used by the main character must be based on real magickal principles. The main character must be human, and the plot not overshadowed by trendy leagues of vampires.

Having set those guidelines, I want to present my first recommendation for must-read Occult fiction. All I can say is if you’ve never read Lilith Saintcrow’s “Dante Valentine” series you are in for a treat!

Saintcrow is best known for her paranormal romance novels, the “Watcher” series, featuring elemental Witches and their handsome guardians. However, Dante Valentine was created from an entirely different cut of cloth.

There are five novels in the series. The first two, “Working for the Devil” and “Dead Man Rising” have already been published. The last three novels are scheduled for publication in 2007 and 2008.

Dante Valentine is a Necromance, who works for lawyers, raising the spirits of the dead when wills come into question. She also takes a few bounty hunting jobs on the side to help pay her mortgage. “Danny” is a wise-cracking whirlwind of energy with a haunting past that won’t quit. Devoted to the Egyptian god Anubis, she entertains Pagan readers with plenty of rituals, spells, and magick.

The series takes place in the near future, as the plot races from one high to the next at lightning speed. This is contemporary Occult fiction at its finest, the kind of book you can’t put down until you finish it. And one you’ll still be thinking about months later.

Saintcrow is a master at creating memorable characters and deftly plotted novels. If you’ve been searching for awesome Occult fiction to add to your personal collection, this should be the first series on your list. You won’t be disappointed!

Laura Stamps is an award-winning novelist, as well as a Wiccan and feral cat rescuer. The recipient of a Pulitzer Prize nomination and seven Pushcart Award nominations, she is the author of a popular series of Occult Novels for Women found at www.KittyfeatherPress.blogspot.com
