The basis of the Law of Attraction is that you attract things and circumstances that are operating at the same vibrational level that your thoughts are.
The higher that you keep your mental vibration, the better things you can bring to yourself that are also at that higher vibrational level. For instance, when you are start out having a really great day - things just seem to fall into place and keep getting better. However, it works the opposite way as well. When you are having a “bad” day and are vibrating at a lower level, one bad thing after another seems to occur.
So obviously the trick is to do everything in your power to stay at a higher vibrational level. Sounds easy enough, but as you know, sometimes hard to put into practice in everyday life. It sounds great to have someone tell you “just think positive” but how do you do that after you have just a disagreement with a spouse, child, co-worker, bill collector or whatever the case may be?
The answer is mental distraction and this is where great technology can come in. You have probably experienced in the past that sometimes you just can’t get a bad mood out of your system on your own. While I personally love meditation, I also know it is sometimes very difficult to quiet your mind enough after a confrontation to reap the benefits of the practice.
This is where places like YouTube can offer a fun and easy fix. There are so many entertaining, funny and inspiring videos that you can obtain in as little as 5 minutes that can give you the distraction that you need, if even for just a few moments.
For instance, did you know that you can find all 4 Rocky “workout montage scenes” on YouTube? I don’t know about you, but I find I can’t help but feel inspired every time I watch those scenes in any of the movies. If you find yourself in a place where you just can’t seem to get the energy up to accomplish what lies before you on a certain day, I highly recommend you watch 2 or 3 of these clips to get the flow of inspiration. It takes as little as 3 minutes each to watch each clip, but the feeling can stay with you all day long.
How about laughter? I have two clips in my YouTube favorites category that make me laugh every single time I watch them. One is from the old Carol Burnett Show where Tim Conway goes off on a tangent about Siamese elephants just to make his costars laugh. It is called “Tim Conway Elephant Story“. If you type it in the YouTube search box, it will bring it right up. (Or you can go to my website for a direct link.) The last few seconds with Vicki Lawrence are priceless. The second is a hysterical laughing baby titled “Hahaha“. I find that watching either one of these clips changes my mood instantly. Maybe someday I will get bored of them and will have to look for more favorites, but I can promise you it won’t be anytime soon.
How about an inspirational ending of one of your favorite movies? I have the endings of Flashdance, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Grease, a clip from FAME and many others I just enjoy tuning into for a quick feel-good boost. (I know… I know… they are all chick flicks - but heh it works for me!)
Favorite upbeat song? It is on YouTube. Favorite old commercial? Chances are it is there too.
Want inspiration? Watch the last 5 minutes of the Shawshank Redemption (titled The Shawshank Redemption - Final Scene - Movie Ending ), or the last ten minutes of it’s a Wonderful Life (under It's A Wonderful Life Ending). I cry with happy tears every time.
I even found the opening segments of some of my favorite childhood shows that bring a touch of nostalgia. They have the opening song for H.R. Pufinstuf, Sigmund and The Sea Monsters, The Land of the Lost and all the other corny Saturday morning shows I used to watch growing up. You try and stay in a bad mood while the song H.R. Pufinstuf keeps playing through your head.
Looking for a spiritual boost? The Secret has a great Video out titled “ The Secret Riches Visualization Tools“. An awesome video to watch while having coffee first thing in the morning or when you first arrive at work. It can set the tone for the rest of your day. There a ton more inspirational videos like that as well from all different sources. Just type in Law of Attraction in the search box.
Anyway, you get the gist of it. Think of the unusual. Something that tickles your particular fancy and give yourself a ten minute boost period.
Most importantly, do not feel guilty about it or feel as if you are just wasting time. You cannot put your time to better use, than making yourself feel better first - before taking any kind of action from a negative place. You will see a drastic difference in the outcome. (I do recommend however, waiting until the boss steps away for a moment before playing them. I don’t know if they will be as understanding about your needed attitude adjustment.)
So, go and make yourself feel better in a quick, cheap and easy way!

DO YOU KNOW THE PRICE OF BECOMING A MODEL?
Every dream has a price, and if your dream is to become a
model, you should know that from the beginning.
A common fallacy for many people who aren't involved in the
business is that they think that modeling is some kind of a
free ride. To the outsider's mind, they assume that anyone
who succeeds as a model has simply had the good fortune to
be born tall, thin and beautiful, and then all they have to
do is just "show up".
This is probably the number one myth about modeling and it
couldn't be further from the truth.
Modeling is not a hobby and it's not even a job. Modeling,
the kind of modeling I'm talking about, is a profession. And
as with all professions, there are standards of excellence
and definite steps to success.
Are you willing to pay the price required of you to become a
model? And do you know what that price is for you?
It will be different for everyone of course. But at the top
of the list would be the dedication to living an extremely
healthy lifestyle.
A healthy lifestyle means regular exercise, getting enough
sleep and eating properly. It does not mean starving
yourself, and it does mean nourishing yourself in a balanced
way.
It means keeping your body at its most fit. It also means
no smoking. And alcohol on rare occasions, if ever. And
it goes without saying that drugs have absolutely no place

Your entry price may also include working your way up the
career ladder, accepting less glamorous work in exchange for

While your friends back home are doing normal teenage things
like hanging out at the beach or the mall, you'll be on
castings, beating the pavement, often with aching feet and a
bruised ego.
You may even be the subject of ridicule from people, and
sometimes from the people closest to you or from those you
want to please the most.
You'll probably have to wrestle with your own self-doubts
and discouragement at times. And even when you're feeling
at your lowest, you're going to have to do casting after
casting, each and every time with renewed enthusiasm and
energy.
You'll have to get up brutally early while people are coming
at you from all sides, fixing your hair, doing your makeup,
having you try on the clothes-all before the sun's up.
You might be wearing a ski suit in sweltering heat or a
bikini on the beach in December. You may be holding the
same uncomfortable pose over and over under hot lights, or
doing a runway show in shoes so tight they'll stop your
circulation.
And whatever it is, you've got to make it new and alive and
fantastic every time for your clients.
All of this demands an enormous amount of self-discipline
and dedication to your goal. If you don't have it you won't
make it as a model over the long term, and especially not at
the higher end of this business. It's just that simple.
But if you're willing to pay the price asked of you in
exchange for reaching your dream you may soon discover
something very important:
The price you paid was actually very small indeed compared
with the reward. Or as motivational speaker Zig Ziglar puts
it,
"You do not pay the price of success; you enjoy the price of
success."

Think Positively to Change Your Life
These days it can be really difficult to think positively. It seems like every day there is more bad news about the economy, and no one really knows when a change is going to come or when the bad times are going to end, or even how bad it's going to get before things turn around.
At times like this it's really easy to get caught in a cycle of negative thinking. It doesn't seem like anything is going right, so you think negative thoughts and fill your mind with worry about the next bad thing that's going to happen, whether you're going to be able to keep paying your bill or even if you'll still have a job next year.
All that negativity isn't very much fun, for one thing. It's impossible to be very happy about things if you're filling your mind with worry, doom and gloom. It's also hard to see the good things that are already in your life if you're worrying about those things going away.
And the truth is the more you think negatively, the more negative effects you're going to see in your life. You might find that after a day of negativity you're actually feeling physically sick like you have a cold coming on. This isn't your imagination, it's a real physical manifestation of your negative thoughts, and a clear example of how we're able to influence our environment and what happens to us through our thoughts and feelings.
On the flip side we can also influence what happens to us in a positive way, though positive thinking and feelings. Focusing on the good that is already in our lives and thinking about the greater good that will come to us in the future, the goals we want to achieve and the things we want to have, will make more good things come into our lives.
The key is to focus on what it is that you want in your life, not what you don't want. Clearly we all want security, peace and stability in our lives, our jobs and our families, but all too often we think about what would happen if those things were taken away from us. We dwell on lost jobs, illness and divorce, and those negative thoughts and feelings just bring more negative energy into our lives.
If you want to feel more positive, think more positive thoughts. If you want more goodness in your life, think about the good things you have and how you'd like your life to be. Imagine a life that is calm, a job that provides all the money you need and a family that is happy, and that is what you will have.
Positive thinking isn't just a way to make you feel better in hard times (though it will do that). It's a concrete thing that you can do to turn your life around, no matter how crazily things are swirling around you.

I didn’t believe it but she proved me right. When everything is going wrong for you and you’re grumpy and a real pain in the ass, try this. Put a smile on your face even if you have to fake it and then close your eyes and think of a funny thing that happened in your life that made you roar with laughter. Hold that thought for 16 seconds. Count them 1-2-3-4-…..16. Are you smiling? It works and I was sure it wouldn’t. Studies have shown that a positive attitude promotes better health, less stress and upbeat people tend to have far more friends. A positive attitude begins with a healthy self-image. If you love the way you are and are satisfied, confident, and self-assured, you also make others are around feel the same way. If you’ve had trouble being positive it’s no wonder. Did you know that for every 14 things a parent says to his or her child, only one of them is positive? What does this say about the internal programming we all have inside us? If you want a healthier outlook in life, you need to think happy thoughts, and you have to hear positive things as well. So, what can you do? Well, for starters, you could see a funny movie, you could play with children, spend some time telling jokes with friends or recite positive affirmations. All these activities fill you with positive stimuli, which in turn promotes positive attitude. Although it is impossible to keep ourselves totally from the negative things around us and in the world, it’s possible to carry a positive attitude by focusing on the good things, the positive things in life. Sometimes when our friends feel down, the thing people mostly do is try to give them advice about how to be more positive. Sometimes, all they need is somebody cheerful to sit by them, and listen to them. You probably won’t have to say a word. Adopting a healthy, positive attitude will almost guarantee that you’ll find someone new to share your life with very quickly. Positive thinking can retard aging, can make you healthier, can help you develop a better stress coping mechanism, and has a very positive effect on all the people you meet every day.

The Law of Attraction and the Science of Getting Rich
What are you thinking about right now? The Law of Attraction states that "whatever we think about, we bring about". This law may initially seem like new age fluff but believe it or not, there are scientific merits to this proposition. The top quantum physicists of our time have discovered that our universe and our reality is very much directed by the "observer". When studying quantum particles (the smallest observable unit of matter), these scientists discovered that such particles behave in accordance with the person conducting the experiment. It the scientists "predict" that quantum particles behave in a certain way, they do. And yet, if the scientists "predict" that quantum particles behave in another way, they do. It is the "observer" that dictates the outcome of the experiment! What does all this mean for us normal people? Well actually, these scientific experiments has far reaching implications for us as our world is made up of these same quantum particles! In this case, we are the "observer" the director and hence the creator of our reality, our world and our experience. So, be careful of what you think about! for example, have you thoughts ever begun with the following phrases: I don’t understand… I don't want... I’m frustrated that… I hate my… I can’t figure out … I’m stressed about… I’m worried that… I should be able to… but I can’t… Why am I having so much trouble? The Law of Attraction indifferent to the words preceding your thought. Whatever you think about you will attract into your life. When you think "I don't understand why bad things always happen to me?", you are "attracting" bad things into your life. When you think "I want to get out of debt", you are attracting more debt into your life. When you think "I'm worried I will get sick", you are attracting sickness into your life! The Law of Attraction brings about what you focus on even if it is not what you want. Get it? If you understand this principle, here are some examples of how to make the law of attraction work to support you rather than to act against you. Try observing your thoughts and changing your thinking in the following way: "I want to get out of debt" to "I want to earn amazing riches" "I hate my boss" to "I look forward to owning my own business" "I don't understand why he is so lazy" to "I love it when he helps out around the house" "I'm stressed about this project" to "I always create amazing results in my projects" "I'm worried about getting sick" to "I experience vibrant health daily" Now that we have a better understanding of the Law of Attraction, it is no surprise why so many people struggle with regards to money. It is been said that "the rich get richer while the poor get poorer". This is actually the Law of Attraction in action. Because the wealthy have money, they often think about how to best use their money and hence they attract more money. The Truth About Adult ADD and Follow-through
If you are an adult with ADD, chances are that at some point in your life, you've felt that you are not "living up to your potential." This judgment often manifests itself when you take stock of all the great ideas you've had that have never gone anywhere, and all the unfinished projects that you have started but never completed. The overwhelming number of these things that have not been "followed through" can lead you to believe that you are not living up to your potential. This is simply not true. By nature, ADDers are visionaries and idea generators. If only someone would pay us to think up great ideas all day long - we'd all be rich! But we get so many great ideas all the time that it would be absolutely impossible to follow through on every one of them. Think about it. If you tried to implement every good idea you ever had, would you have time to eat, sleep, or even breathe right now? Probably not. But this is not an indication that you're lazy, unable to follow through, or not living up to your potential. Successful ADDers know that they are always going to have great ideas that never come to fruition. It's just our nature to be constantly thinking, creating and innovating. We can't shut off this part of ourselves even when we try. But we simply don't have the physical or mental capability to follow through on every great idea we get. Embrace this concept as truth. Realize that some ideas are worth following through on, and some are not. Let go of the guilt. Refuse to listen to the internal dialogue that tells you you're lazy and not living up to your potential, simply because you have too many good ideas to keep up with! Instead, ask yourself what's practical to follow through on in the present, instead of putting pressure on yourself to do it all. Keep a notebook in which you write down your great ideas so that you can come back to them if you want to. Focus on a few great ideas that you actually did follow through with, and let these be your motivation moving forward. And don't forget to acknowledge this special talent that you have. The ability to generate many great ideas makes you a visionary!

Personal Growth �" Sharing My Story
I grew up in an affluent area in Long Island, NY. Although my parents were very rich with love, they struggled financially. At a very young age, I attached my self-worth to my family’s net worth. While growing up, I stuffed my face with food to hide from the feeling of worthiness. I was a rebel without a clue... Acting out in school and hanging around the wrong crowd looking for approval. That was a crash course heading in the wrong direction FAST. During my teens I was arrested for fighting, for selling drugs and twice for driving while intoxicated. My parents and teachers didn’t know what to do. Constantly dragging me to various psychologists and psychiatrists so they could "figure me out.” All they did was make matters worse by prescribing antidepressants to numb the pain. As High School came to an end, there was tremendous pressure to go to college. I had a dream to be an entrepreneur and had no clue what to do next. I spent 13 years in school and felt unequipped for the real world. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…IT DID! Every Saturday since I was a kid, I worked with my father at his auto repair shop and used car lot. I had done this for years, learning and earning under the guidance of my dad. Then it happened: it appeared to be an ordinary day… until all of a sudden, I watched my father fall down hard on the ground - and heard a big “SNAP”. I ran to see if he was ok. When I approached him, he was screaming in pain. His ankle was the size of a grapefruit. I had never seen my father in pain before, and I felt totally helpless. He was rushed to the hospital. There were so many thoughts rambling through my head. At the time, my mother wasn’t working and my brother was only 15 years old. How was my family going to survive? Without the “breadwinner” of the family able to work, what were we going to do? Seconds felt like minutes… minutes felt like hours… hours felt like days. After several hours of waiting… the doctors told us that he would be bedridden for at least 12 months. We couldn’t afford him missing work for 12 hours let alone 12 months. We eventually had a family talk and agreed that I would take over the businesses until my father was able to get back on his feet. Consider this: up until that point, my life was a wreck. Now, all of a sudden, I was in charge of running two businesses and 9 employees - most of whom were more than twice my age. Monday morning came fast and I arrived at work as the "boss". I wish I could say I was welcomed with open arms. Actually, the employees were less than thrilled with the idea that the boss's "brat son” was going to run the show. After several months of stumbling and figuring things out… Everything was going pretty smooth. I was getting into the groove and I was doing a heck of a job, if I do say so myself. Life has ups and downs. What we all have to do is focus on getting to the ups and push through the downs.

Acceptance: Life on Life’s Terms
Did you ever notice that there are certain words that when heard or spoken, elicit an automatic response from us? We immediately cringe, and scrunch up our foreheads. One such word is ‘acceptance’. Somehow the term acceptance has acquired a rather negative connotation. It has come to mean a variety of things.
One perception of ‘acceptance’ might be that it means to relinquish all of our opinions, desires and even needs to a cause or person that appears to have the upper hand. Another might be that in order to accept anything that is not what we want it to be requires an admission of weakness. We are not influential enough to promote change or make a real difference. In addition, we may summon up our most powerful defensive stance and prepare for war before we entertain the notion of that nasty thing, ‘acceptance’.
Is it inherent within us human beings to prefer resistance to just about everything rather than to accept life on life’s terms? So often, simply accepting things for what they are is only an option as a last resort!
In my own life, I have acquiesced to the warrior within me. My inner rebel has gotten plenty of action over the years. In retrospect; however, what I remember most are the sore throats from straining my voice while yelling at careless driver that had just cut me off, the headaches from thinking so hard about how I could change someone’s attitude, and the tightness in my chest from stressing over things like war, poverty, and how unfair it was not to be the lucky stiff that won the lottery. Acceptance, for me then, was undeniably a sign that I had removed myself from the list of movers and shakers of this world!
Never had my suffering through such resistance resulted in anything positive for me. I reached a point in my life where I realized that my refusal to accept life on life’s terms had become an enabler - allowing me to create a drama so I could feel powerful or purposeful in some bizarre way.
Finally, I got it! Now, I see ‘acceptance’ in a whole new light. In fact, it has become a friend that restored my power to choose peacefulness for my life. Just like anything else, personal perception, driven by our beliefs, creates truth for each of us. The perception that has come to work much better for me is to recognize / accept that there are aspects of the world at large as well as within my own little world that I may not like or agree with AND can’t change. That truth will always exist as long as we are alive. Turning on your Heart Light
As you sink into your space remember a time when you experienced love or appreciation . . . it can be something as simple as when you looked into the eyes of a baby, or a pet or a cherished friend . . . allow yourself, in this moment, to re-experience those feelings of love or appreciation. . . as you do this notice the area around your heart . . . breathe these feelings of remembered love and appreciation into the area in and around your heart. . . And I want you to imagine that this experience of love and appreciation allows you NOW to locate your own personal heart light . . . however it appears to you… know that you have an internal heart light. . . see it now and switch it to the ON position . . . Good, take a breath into your heart as you continue remembering the feelings of love and appreciation . . . And as you allow yourself to breathe in these feelings, surrender any doubt or thoughts that you are imaging this. . . Strongly connected to your internal heart light, imagine now that you can broadcast these feelings of love and appreciation out into the world . . . out to every other heart in the world . . . out to every man, woman, child, dolphin, bird, every sentient being . . . practice now broadcasting your purest love to the world and as you do this, knowing that your inner heart light is now in the ON position . . . know that you are beaming a signal to the heart of your soul mate that you are ready and willing to magnetize them into your life see this light emanating from your heart, this light filled with trust and knowingness, see it filling the spaces around your body and beaming out to the world around you . . . breathe into this light, into this loving feeling and continue to broadcast it out around you. Sink into the deep knowingness that your soul mate has been touched, just now, by the energy of your heart. Breathe into the deep knowingness that he or she IS on the way. Rest assured that every cell of your being now knows that your soul mate is on the way. You do not need to know the when, the where, the how of your meeting . . . just rest in the YES that they are indeed coming to you. And allow that thought to bring a smile across your lips. Tell yourself now that it is safe to keep your heart-light on . . . know that you are loved and protected and ready . . . remember that you have much love to give and much love to receive. Know that as you savor the waiting for your soul mate to appear, you can give your love to all around you and as you do this, your heart-light beams stronger and brighter with each loving thought you have. And when you are ready open your eyes remembering to keep your heart open as you do.
