Maria Duval - WithInAsThru You " The Real Power You Are!

WithInAsThru You " The Real Power You Are!
The buzz these days is all about "self-help" and "personal growth." However, many teachers would have us forever seeking something outside of us in order to change or become, when actually the opposite is true. How many times have we heard, "the world is changing"? Or, "things are different now." Well, change is an eternal truth. And the clearest truth of all is that the world is changing WithInAsThru You!

How would you live your life differently if you truly understood that you're already the answer to ever question you've ever asked? Would you show up differently each day? Would you treat others differently? Would you even be the same person if you believed - really believed - that you are the source of your own happiness, health and success?

Nothing in your life is ever happening to you. Your life, as you live IT, IS occurring WithInAsThru you. The path to enlightened living is formed by taking responsibility for our thoughts and actions. Everything that is experienced, attracted, felt and observed occurs with, in, as and through every one of us. Your life, as you live it, is occurring withinasthru you.

The idea of WithInAsThru may be new to many people, but parallel concepts have been around for centuries. Every great teacher that has ever lived has taught that the key to personal awareness lies in finding the source within our selves. It has been called many things: ecstasy of silence, contemplation, inner reflection and meditation. But whatever name it goes by, the intended result is the same: a deeper connection to one's own self.

Withinasthru holds profound implications for your life and your future. It has attracted thousands of minds to the WithInAsThru yoU! Letters (http://www.WithInAsThru.com) because of its irresistible simplicity.

The first step is to open your mind. Make your desires clear and begin to create with what you already have withinasthru you. Open your mind and trust that whatever you conceive, whatever you know, whatever you produce, has always been in you, has always been you. You created it long before you became consciously aware of creating it.

While many people are spending their money, time and energy trying to change who they are, the WithInAsThru yoU! Letters offer simple and practical systems such as writing and meditating that celebrate who you already are.

Stepping into unfamiliar territory can be daunting, but remember that no enlightened idea ever came out of routine thinking. The WithInAsThru yoU! Are You Living the Fearless Life?
Are You Living The Fearless Life? When people think about being fearless it usually conjures up images of mountain climbers on Everest, skydivers jumping out of airplanes, and race car drivers on the Nascar circuit. Most people think I could never do that. The truth of the matter is this. Every person who ever scaled Everest, jumped out of an airplane or raced around a track at 200 miles an hour was scared to death! They were putting their lives on the line and there was no guarantee that they would return alive. The difference between them and us is simple. They faced the fear and didnt allow it to overwhelm their need for adventure, their need to go beyond their usual comfort zone. In my role as coach to midlife women, I am constantly surprised at how many women undervalue the amount of courage it takes to live. One of my clients had a child was very ill, she nursed him through the worst part of it, and continued to do her job where the expectation was that no matter what, she had to be in on time and do her work. She did it because they needed the money to pay the medical bills. She felt there was no choice. When told how courageous it was of her to do this, she looked at me blankly and said what else could I do? How many women take their heroic journeys and say what else could I do? Or, Who else was going to do it? As women, we underplay our strengths and shrug it off as a trade-off. For what? We carry the load. Men may feel they are out there creating the wealth, but today thats no longer the truth. More women than ever are in the workforce AND still doing all the other stuff they did before. Who has the harder job? In my opinion there is no contest. Women have expectations about doing it all. We work, we take care of the children, we cook, we clean and we run all the errands. When the kids are sick, or our husband is having problems at work, we nurture them and we continue to run until we run on empty. We get tired, depressed, anxious and angry. And we wonder why it has to be that way. Along the way, we lost the passion for living. When we were little girls we dreamed about what we would be when we were growing up. We played at being teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers and mommies. We travelled the globe on our wall maps and listened to the music and thought about becoming a rock star. We pushed away the doubts and went to college sure that we could do anything, and then the dream started to fizzle. We did well in school, or didnt, we found work that satisfied, or didnt, and we married happily, or didnt. And bit by bit, the dream that said you could do anything was gradually taken over by necessities. Money to pay the rent, children who needed special care, husbands who were never home because their job took them away for days on end. We found ourselves taking care of the daily grind and gradually, ever so gradually, the desire and passion for something different, for something more, dwindled to a whisper. We are happy when we are with our family. Our children give us enormous pleasure (and pain); and our relationships over the years have deepened into friendships that are the backbone of our existence. But something is missing and we cant quite put our finger on it. When we reach our forties, we start to feel that the dreams we once had are no longer possible. We give in to the quiet despair of midlife believing Is that All There Is and knowing in your heart that the answer is no. What is it that stands in our way from living the life we used to believe was possible? I believe its Fear. We live in a fear based world. Our culture breeds it in the daily dose of terror news. We are constantly bombarded by whats good for our health. People die from eating the wrong things. The latest was spinach. People die from being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We live in a world without proper health care and we ignore countries in the rest of the world because we have enough troubles of our own at home. Is it any wonder that we dont want to deal with our own fears? Better the devil we know than the one we dont. I was forty-three years old and I had been in a relationship for thirteen years. We had three children, including his daughter from a second marriage. It was not the easiest relationship to be in because we were both strong-willed and stubborn people. We fought on a regular basis but found mutual ground in the love our children. On one occasion, our fighting reached a crescendo and I was ready to leave. As usual, it was all his fault. He had made my life impossible with his demands, his thoughtlessness and his constant need for attention. I had had enough. In the midst of our screaming at each other he yelled You made the choices, not me. It stopped me in my tracks. The words stuck to my brain and resonated for hours afterwards. I hated to admit it, but he was right. It had been my choice to accept less than I wanted, to give more than I wanted to, to place myself in a secondary position so that I took care of everyone elses needs first. I wasnt even sure I knew what it was I needed at that moment, but I knew one thing. I was scared to take responsibility for my own emotional happiness. We keep ourselves in a state of fear! We all make choices. Some good, some bad, but they are choices. I didnt realize that for a very long time and wanted to blame over there for most of the unhappiness in my life. We all have to make decisions. Sometimes these decisions may seem like there is no choice, but there always is. Now all of this may sound like youve heard it all before. You have. But the sad state of affairs is that most women dont take time for their own needs and make excuses for why they wont move ahead into a life of fulfilment. We all have choices and if we dont choose the things that make us feel good, that inspire us to get out of bed each day, and celebrate the life we live, we only have one person to blame. Living the Fearless life is not a choice. Living the Fearless life means facing the fears that stop you in your tracks, that cause you to make excuses about why you cant do something, or refuse to make the changes that will mean feeling more fulfilled and happier with your life. Think about this. In 2006, it is expected that women in their fifties will live until they are in their mid-eighties if their health is good. Thats thirty more years of living!! You might have another forty or more. How exciting is that. Isnt it about time you gave yourself what you need? What you want? What will make you happy? If you dont know what that is, find help to unearth the part of you that was buried in the landslide called living the unfulfilled life. Stop making excuses for not taking action. I know its hard. I know there are a million reasons why you cant take care of yourself. There are as many excuses as there are stars in the sky, but you dont have to wait until they burn out. That will take millions of years and you dont have that long. Thirty years is a long time to be doing something you dont want. Thirty years is another lifetime of putting your own needs first and creating the life you want to live. At the beginning of this article, I used the examples of Everest and skydiving. Facing our fears does not have to be so monumental. But we do have to face up to our fears each and every day. Its in the million details of our daily lives. The decisions we take in our jobs, our families and in our personal care. My challenge to you is simple. Live the Fearless Life by facing the fears each day. Life is not about being Fearless, its about facing the fears and doing what makes us uncomfortable. This is my first article. I put off writing it for weeks. Now that Ive done the outline, Ive got something to work with and Ill improve. My fear is getting up and saying to you that you can do this. Im an expert on Fear. Ive lived with it from the earliest part of my life. But Ive refused to give in to it. I was nine years old, living in an old Scottish tenement building that was built during the reign of Mary Queen of Scots. It was either haunted or I had an overly active imagination. One night I awoke to find a tall dark figure standing by the side of my bed. It looked huge and I could not make out any discerning features. It did not move and neither did I. I looked at it for a few minutes waiting for it to do something until I eventually closed my eyes and fell asleep once more. In the morning I asked everyone in our building if they had come to my bed the night before but no one did. To this day, I am convinced it was FEAR that came to visit. I lived with an abusive, alcoholic father and each day was spent in terror of doing something wrong. We manifest what we most dread. It took me a long time, but eventually I understood that living life fearlessly was not living a life without worry, but about facing the worries, the anxieties and the dread that comes with taking chances. You owe it to yourself to take the chance.

Nature Of the Human Mind
Nature of The Human Mind

On Earth, man occupies a peculiar position that sets him apart
from all other entities in our planet. While all the other
things " animate or inanimate, living or non-living " behave
according to regular patterns to balance nature, man seems to
enjoy " within definite limits " a small amount of freedom. Man
controls his way of living, speaks his own language, perceives
and learns great amount of knowledge, manages his emotions, and
deals properly with problems he faces. All of which is unique to
man only. There is, in fact, within the infinite expanse of the
universe a small field in which man's conscious conduct can
change the course of events.

It is this fact that causes man to distinguish between an
external world subject to unstoppable and endless necessity, and
his human faculty of thinking, cognising, and acting. In
Philosophy, mind or reason is contrasted with matter, something
that is extended in space and persists through time. Fully aware
of the fact that his own body is subject to the same forces that
determine all other things and beings, man attributes his
ability to think, to will and to act to an invisible and
intangible, yet powerful, factor he calls his mind.

The mind, including the processes it carries out such as
thinking, learning, memorizing, remembering, and the likes, is
one characteristic that distinguishes man from any other being
in the world. The nature of the human mind is like that of a
mirror; having different functions and features: (a) open and
vast, (b) reflects in full and precise details, (c) unbiased
towards any impression, (d) distinguishes clearly, and (e)
potential for having everything already accomplished.

Open and Vast

Martin H. Fischer (1879-1962), a German-born U.S. physician and
author, quoted “All the world is a laboratory to the inquiring
mind.” Isn’t it ironic how small the human brain where mind
processes undergo is, and yet it encloses matters in as huge as
the universe? That’s how open and vast the mind can be. It can
consist of things as trivial as the number of moles you have in
your body, or as essential as how many dosages of cough syrup
you need to take in when you are sick. It can create illusion or
reality, bring delight or sadness, trigger conflict or peace, and
generate love or hatred. And most importantly, it can make you,
by influencing you how to be the best of who you are, or break
you, by covering you with all the fears, embarrassment, and
shame you least need in going through everyday.

The exposure of the mind to practically ‘anything under the sun’
keeps it from hiding any secrets the world unfolds from us. But
again, all information that we can easily gather from outside is
not always being marked off by the society " which is good and
which is bad, which is right and which is wrong, or which is
divine and which is evil. Therefore, the mind, as an
all-encompassing system, accesses everything and yet restricts
us from nothing.

Indeed, we have to agree with Fischer that the world is just a
laboratory of the inquiring mind. A gigantic world of mind
exists to which we are almost totally unexposed. This whole
world is made by the mind. Our minds made this up and put these
things together. Every bolt and nut was put in by one after the
other’s mind. This whole world is mind’s world " the product of
mind.

Reflects in Full and Precise Details
In her outstanding book, Choose the Happiness Habit, Pam Golden
writes: "Take the story of two brothers who are twins. One
grows up to be an alcoholic bum. The other becomes an extremely
successful businessman. When the alcoholic is asked why he
became a drunk, he replies, ‘My father was a drunk.’ When the
successful businessman is asked why he became successful, he
says, ‘My father was a drunk.’ Same background.
Same upbringing. Different choices."

The brothers chose different thoughts regarding the identical
experience they’ve been in. One took the fact that their father
was a drunk as an example for him to imitate; thus, making him
one too. In contrast, the other brother thought the same idea as
something not to be mimicked, making him doing the opposite thing
until he became successful. Those thoughts over the years shaped
the circumstances where they are now. Whatever viewpoint they
had about the situation was reflected on how they are doing now.

In other words, whatever there is in our mind can be fully and
precisely reflected through our actions. It is due to the
process where thinking creates images in our mind. These images,
in turn, will control feelings like joy or sadness. Such feelings
will cause us to do actions on how we would deal with each one of
them. And lastly, these actions shall create results. Therefore,
the mind, particularly thinking, implies reflection and creation
of results. This is simplified through the very common cliché
“You are what you think of.”

How To "Cleanser Yourself" Of Negative Energy
Take a blank piece of paper. On the front of it, make a list of all the things that are "sacred" to you. On the back, make a list of all the things that are "negative" or "bad" for you in your life.

You’ve now got your lists. On the front you have a list of things that are “sacred” to you. On the back you have a list of all things that are NOT sacred (the things that bring negative emotions into your heart).

Now, you will need to gather a few tools to use to finish the building blocks of your internal sacred space. Gather the following items:

• White candle in a holder
• Matches, or a lighter
• A glass (or ceramic) bowl
• A glass of water

Set them up in front of you like this (the bowl should be directly in front of you):

When you are ready, light the candle. Let it become your focus. Feel the heat and energy coming from the candle. Visualize it’s energy surrounding you, enveloping you in it’s light and warmth. Let it’s light fill the aura around your body. See this light purifying your energy, filling your heart with it’s pure, white glow.

After you feel warm and pure from the light of the candle, take the paper and unfold it.

Slowly read the list of sacred things aloud. Allow yourself to pause between each one and think deeply on it.

When you have gone through your entire list, say the following aloud, and with purpose:

“These Sacred things that I see
Make them all a part of me
Help me raise the energy”

Now visualize each item from your list rising up off of the paper to brighten the white purifying light around you.

Next, fold the paper back up without even looking at the list of negative things. Gently hold the folded paper into the fire on the candle (be very careful not to burn yourself or anything around you).

Once the paper catches fire, drop it immediately into the bowl. Now say aloud:

“Cleanse the Space inside of me
And rid all negativity
I accept no less " So Mote It Be”

Now watch the flames carefully as they burn the rest of the paper while you focus on feeling your positive sacred energy full of grand emotions. Feel the energy again, surrounding you and cleansing your space with white purifying light, filled with all of your sacred things.

Pour some water into the bowl to put out the rest of the flames and ash to “cleanse” all the negativity from your space.

Now blow at the candle.

You have now set up your basic internal sacred space that you are going to build on in the future.

When you first set up your sacred space in this way, do this once a week for 4 weeks to reinforce it and grow the power of your space. (you can write down different things, or the same things every time)

Going forward, you are going to want to do this once a month to keep your sacred space clean so that your Magick will work to it’s fullest and won’t be tainted with negativity.

In my Witchcraft Academy In-A-Box, I reveal some powerful techniques you can use to boost the power of your sacred space every day and use it to tap into Magick energies any time you need to (even when you are walking down the street).

I will also go into detail (with video demonstrations) the process of creating your internal sacred space " as well as exactly how to set up and “cleanse” your external sacred space. I need more time to explain the external sacred space, and it is really something you need to “see” before you can understand completely what you need to do.

You will also discover the secrets of “short term” and “long term” sacred space and “natural hot spots”. All of these things will increase your focus giving more even more strength to your spells and other work.

Surrendering To Freedom: Stepping Into Grace
Earlier this month as I sat at the desk by the upstairs hall window, looking down on the blossoming apple trees and the vineyard beyond, I suddenly heard a fluttering sound behind me. A house finch had flown into the open window at the other end of the hall. I watched her fly around the hall and into my office where she began banging against the window, struggling to find a way out.

I entered my office and watched as she flew against the window unaware that the just 10 inches away, it was open. Slowly and peacefully I approached her with my open hands prayerfully offering guidance and help. At first she refused, fluttering with even more determination and desperation up and down the invisible obstacle that held her captive. I remained calm and present, ready to enfold her gently yet firmly when the opportunity appeared.

But suddenly, she stopped her frantic flapping and flew onto my finger, sitting there as naturally and calmly as if it was a tree branch. There was a communion in that moment, an understanding that passed between that finch and myself. I was reluctant to let go of that connection, and yet I knew that was part of our connection, part of the trust she had placed in me.

Slowly I shifted my hands towards the open side of the window. Somehow the clarity and awareness that had been lost during her struggle had returned in her calmness. She knew the instant she was in front of the opening, and immediately flew out the window to freedom, gifting me with two bright, clear chirps of gratitude as she went.

When I returned to the desk I began thinking of how much I am like that little house finch: Resisting the hands that offer me help, desperately running from the guidance that is constantly being offered. The hands may be human, or divine, or they may be the wings of a house finch, but they are always here, always reaching out gently to guide me to freedom.

Admiring the beauty of the Sonoma County landscape, I imagined myself settling into the hands of the Divine, just as that bird settled so gracefully onto my hand. I felt the release of tension and worry as I allowed myself to rest in the hands of God.

Since that day I have been away of the times when I am struggling like that finch. It sometimes feels out of my control, as if I am watching someone else struggle, unable to reach them and let them know that the window is open just a few inches away. But it is me. I am struggling. I am resisting. And like that finch, I am slowly learning to let go of that resistance, and to allow myself to be shown the way to grace and freedom.

The Law of Attraction " A Users Guide
Have you noticed how some people just seem to always be in the zone? They always reach their goals and get everything they want in their lives. How can this be?
One possible answer would be that they’re just lucky. Another answer could be that they know something others don’t. Let us explore those two answers a little further.

What if it’s Luck.
Luck is considered to be something we can not control. If you won a million dollars in a lottery you would call it luck. If you discovered your car had a flat tire when you was allready late for work, you would probably call it bad luck. Some people are considered to be lucky while others are considered to be unlucky. If luck is what makes the difference between rich and poor, then there is nothing we can do to change it. We’ll just have to trust that destiny is doing what it’s supposed to do for us.

What if they know something others don’t.
If the successful people know something that can get them anything they want, it would be a totally different story. That means that everyone, with the right knowledge, could get what they want. YOU could get everything you want. Wow, think about that for a moment. Where would you be today if this was true? I got news for you: It is true. It’s called the Law of Attraction.

All matter is energy. The chair you are sitting on, the trees in the backyard, your house and your car. It’s all vibrating energy. And so are you. So, what makes us vibrate? Have you heard the expression ‘you are what you eat’? The same goes for thoughts. You truly become what you think about. Our thoughts and feelings make you who you are to the rest of the world. What you think about today is what you’ll get tomorrow.

The main thing that will make the Law of Attraction work in your favour is your feelings. You are always utilizing the Law of Attraction, whether you know it or not. If you’re feeling bad that’s exactly what you’ll attract. If that is the case, you need to do anything you can to turn it around. Switch the negative thoughts with positive ones. Smile to everyone you meet (even if you don’t want to). Sing in the shower. Become aware of your inner dialog and change it. When you first start doing this it will feel artificial and unreal to you. But if you stick to it, you will see that an incredible change takes place inside of you. You’ll start to attract positive things and people.

Think of your self as an adjusted magnet. You’ll attract all the things you think about the most. If all you can think about are your bills, then that’s what you’ll get; more bills. If all you can think about is the money you have, then that’s what you’ll get more of. Stop worrying about the things you can’t do anything about, and start paying attention to the things you can change. Be patient. You have planted a seed. Everything that’s in your life today, is there becouse of what you have thought in the past.

Simplicity, Patience And Compassion: The Three Treasures
According to Eastern tradition there are three treasures on the pathway to enlightenment: simplicity, patience and compassion. At first glance, such simple ideas. Yet after contemplation one easily recognizes: it?s these basic thoughts, when woven into our day, that can lead each of us to a contemplative, peaceful and more fulfilling life.

In this short article then, I invite you to take a page from Eastern religion: explore the three treasures and become aware of your relationship to them.

Simplicity
The first treasure: simplicity. Simplicity in thought and action. According to author Thomas Cleary in his translation of Taoist Meditation, simplicity leads the seeker on the Way. Simplicity of thought, he tells us, can often be brought about by silence. And in the silence, we gain personal wisdom. If finding 10 or 20 minutes each day to rest quietly or meditate could bring you closer to peace, would you be more conscientious in devoting this time?

Simplicity of action, however, feels a greater challenge. It involves priorities and discovering what is truly important. Here?s how I personally handle this: When I feel overwhelmed by my ?to-do list? I create a game by challenging myself to let go of everything I can do without. Then, I remove as many things as I can from my list. What I am left with are those items of greatest importance. I devote as much time necessary to completing each task with joy and precision.

Try it now. What can you remove from the task list today that could bring you closer to simplifying your life? What will you place your attention on?

Patience
Treasure number two: patience. Yes, the virtue. And just like simplicity, it is also a challenge to move slowly through tasks until they have been completed or to remain calm when dealing with someone outrageous. I?ve found that we are often mirror images of others and attract to us parts of ourselves. This is important to note as it could manifest positive or negative events, depending on mindset. In this light, Inalya Vanzant reminds us to keep thoughts pure. She tells us to remind ourselves: "I will gain more understanding when I realize... how I interpret what comes at me is a reflection of what is in me." When faced with a situation requiring patience ask yourself: Am I casting a positive image?

In this framework, more of my favorite wisdom comes from author Richard Carlson in his new book: Easier Than You Think. In it he explains, when we are with someone, we should make every effort to pay expert attention to that person. This engages them and often can diffuse a stressful situation by simply making them feel important. With this in mind, the next time you engage in conversation or even a casual chat with someone: ask yourself if you are creating a role model's image.

Compassion
Compassion, the third treasure. I often liken it to empathy. Although we cannot always know directly what it is like to be another, we can value everyone?s need to be heard. Conflict or anger is often a cry for help. We simply need to be aware of our circumstances in effort to create compassion in our lives. We will be called to help others as we become more enlightened vessels of peace. Events will come to us as a reflection of what we need to heal in ourselves.

Thomas Cleary reminds us we should always act in sincerity. In Taoist Meditation he writes: ?to choose what is good and hold onto it firmly is a matter of sincerity.? Compassion, as well, challenges us to define what is most important to us; a reoccurring theme throughout the three treasures. To me, this involves being awake and aware in our lives to see the ways in which we are available to give sincerity and service.

Today, be aware of the ways spirit is working through you. Remember: You are the vessel of peace for others and the world. I believe, the more we become vulnerable to trust and open ourselves to sincerity, the more we can allow compassionate behavior into our lives and become enlightened each and every day.

In Conclusion:
It is my wish these positive ideas enhance your life and bring you peace. Be conscious every day of the messages you are receiving, the people you meet, your experiences. It is amazing the way these simple ideas can enrich your life exponentially. Go forth then, and be aware. Place your attention on the three treasures: in the darkness they will bring you light.
